My house went up sale with Alan n Harris around September 2024.
Also went up sale with Peter Alan.
Peter Alan had non stop interest and viewing, regular contact and advise on the house and feedback.
Alan Harris nothing, no contact no interest. I went into the office and was told it was the market.
Few weeks past I went back and took the Keys and my house went up sale with Nina sales.
Again lots of interest and viewings.
The only contact from Alan Harris was they noticed the price reduction on line.
They asked why I hadn't been intouch.
I explained that wasn't my job, and they had stayed intouchbwith me they would have found out sooner.
Well my house sold through Peter Alan on 16.1 25.
Today (17.4.25) I received a call from Alan Harris wanted to discuss my house that's up sale.
I explained has been sold and I have only ever spoken to 2 members of their team since it went on the market. Absolutely shocking service.W Would never use them again or recommend them

If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with Allen & Harris has been nothing short of a nightmare. They have proven themselves to be disorganised, unresponsive, and utterly devoid of empathy or professionalism. Here's why:
1. Horrendous Communication
From the outset, communication has been abysmal. They failed to inform us of critical changes in tenancy terms (such as extending a 6month contract to 12 months) and took months to respond to emails about important tenancy changes. When they finally responded, they often appeared confused or uninformed, adding unnecessary stress to an already challenging situation.
2. Delays and Mismanagement
Essential repairs took months to address. A broken window, reported in March 2022, wasn’t repaired until July after multiple visits where contractors only measured the frame without progress. Scheduled property visits were frequently missed, wasting my time and causing disruption with no apology or explanation.
3. Uncompromising and Rigid Approach
When I went through a personal breakup and sought to amend the tenancy arrangement, their inflexible, punitive approach compounded my stress. Rather than offering support or solutions, they imposed excessive fees and unreasonable demands.
4. Unfair Treatment of Tenants
Allen & Harris treats tenants like afterthoughts, despite the fact we are paying clients. Their disregard tenant wellbeing became glaringly obvious when my former partner, who met affordability requirements, was still subjected to unfair guarantor demands. This lack of decency and respect is inexcusable.
5. Profit Over People
It’s clear that Allen & Harris prioritises profit above all . The landlord's interests seem to be their only concern, with no consideration the tenants who make their business possible. The handling of our tenancy transition felt like a thinly veiled attempt to push us out and raise the rent to a more lucrative amount.
Allen & Harris epitomises everything wrong with estate agents today: exploitative, unempathetic, and incompetent. If you value your time, money, and mental health, avoid this agency at all costs. They have caused me and my former partner immense stress and anxiety, and I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone .

Many people say it but I would genuinely give zero stars. Absolutely appalling.
As a tenant, it has been a horrendous experience renting with this company. No communication during our ten months of hell. My wife became ill because of stress caused and this culminated with them or the awful landlady issuing a no reason eviction and for us to move out and grind somewhere to live within six weeks! Rent was paid on time every month no problem.
So after all this, my wife, three kids found somewhere to live with a much friendlier, professional estate agent and a bigger and better house for less money. Ourselves, professional cleaners and members of our family spent three days cleaning making the property look superior to when we moved in. A report was done and was pretty much faultless. Four weeks later we are yet to receive our deposit back, poor communication (again)! There are fault cracks in parts of the wall that the landlady is asking for us to pay for (they were there before and class as wear and tear). It is a week before Christmas and we are no closer to receiving the £2.4k. Allen and Harris (Highworth) are bullies, unprofessional and I would not recommend them to my worst enemy. The landlady is just using this property to exploit people and make money unfairly.
I know I am bitter after the terrible experience we endured but this is just me trying to forewarn others before using them. The previous tenant tried to warn us but sadly we proceeded.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Allen & Harris Frome, and I feel compelled to share my experience to caution others.
Firstly, the communication was abysmal. I was not informed that the buyer had pulled out of the purchase, which caused unnecessary delays and complications. This crucial information was withheld, and it was only through my persistent inquiries that I found out about the buyer's withdrawal. Allen and Harris simply stopped responding to any and all communication.
Additionally, the photos taken of my property were of very poor quality with water marks and blown out colours. Professionalism was sorely lacking in this regard, and it felt as though minimal effort was put into presenting my property well.
Moreover, the manager was unhelpful and displayed a lack of professionalism throughout the process. Any attempts to address my concerns were met with indifference and a dismissive attitude. It was evident that customer service and satisfaction were not priorities.
Overall, my experience with Allen & Harris Frome was frustrating and disappointing. I would not recommend their services to anyone looking for a reliable and professional real estate agent.

Very poor customer service. This has been the worst and most stressful moving experience I have ever had - and I have moved internationally multiple times. The only positive was the service received from Tyler Corr during the initial letting process (viewings/ documentation) who was very efficient and professional.
I was due to collect my keys on a Friday after having organised all the necessary documents, references etc weeks in advance. I was contacted by Bethany Casey incredibly last-minute at around 4pm the day before my move-in date to be informed that this would not be possible as the previous tenants had delayed their move-out and subsequently left the apartment untidy. I was told it might be possible on the Monday after but given no confirmation of this and was told she would get back to me to confirm. I had no information by the Saturday when I rang and was told Bethany was not in but had been trying to organise some out-of-hours cleaning service and someone would update me on the status of the flat. I received no update ( bear in mind I had to vacate my at the time property by the Monday at the latest, so was incredibly stressed at this point.)
On the Monday, I called first thing, and was told the inventory needed to be done prior to the move-in time but had informed them that I had a moving van pre-booked and could not alter this without forfeiting the full amount paid for the moving services. I was later informed by the inventory taker that this had not been highlighted to him as an urgent job by the letting agent despite it being a move-in rather than a move-out job and as such he had left this job till later in the day. On multiple occasions on the Monday in between moving I had to go into the letting office to ask for an update even though I'd been told she would get right back to me, only to see the letting agent attending to non-urgent tasks like walk-ins despite explaining the urgency of my situation. The moving van had already arrived at my previous property and I still did not have the keys to the new property. This meant the moving van had to offload all of my items onto the street whilst waiting for Bethany to discuss with the landlord alternative arrangements for my moving in - an option which should have been done and considered long before. There was no sense of urgency on her part whatsoever.
I eventually was given the keys, but when I got into the flat, the flat was still very unclean with many faults that had not been addressed or highlighted including mould and damp, faulty equipment, stains on all carpets, insects etc. I raised these issues, and 2 months in to the tenancy the vast majority of these have not been addressed. My emails were not replied to for weeks as I was later informed she was on bereavement leave but had not communicated this in any way and with no-one else replying to me to attempt to resolve my issues. My request to put in formal complaints have been repeatedly ignored hence my resorting to this online review. The service has been appalling with little to no remorse shown or compensation for the shortcomings. I do not recommend this service at all.

Because not receiving support from broker I made bad mistake pull out from property I was hoping to buy. Always been worrying when problem comes because this broker is not with you when really need.
They change big amount of money for lifetime service. But no service after payment

We realise it is a buyer market but feel we were treated like fools, the end result is we cancelled our contract with them and wrote this review.
