I tried to book an appointment a week in advance on line which I left details but no one got back to me..then tried to book an appointment over the phone admittedly short notice but appears they are too busy...I was really interested in the property and knew the area well so ready to go and in a good financial position to move quickly...I also explained I was going out of the area so had limited time to view the property. I feel sorry for the sellers it was a potential no brainer for us...tempted to put a note through the door so they can see how unhelpful the estate agents are..

Having used the services of Straker & Co a couple of times in the last ten years, it was refreshing in the last sale (April 2017) to deal with professionals.So many organisations these days promise so much and deliver a very poor quality of service, in the case of Straker Malmesbury, it was pure class. Many thanks to Graham and his team for handling our sale and making a retired couple feel at ease throughout the transaction.

Comments on Agent Fees
Many people would have negotiated a reduction in fees after the first sale fell through. I didn't do that because they are worth every penny.
I just want to thank every one at the Malmesbury Strakers office for working so hard on my behalf. When my sale fell through at the last minute in December - the first thing that happened was a big bunch of flowers - then a long conversation to analyse what had happened. When I put the house back up for sale this year, they quickly found me a buyer and since then Eleanor has chased progress with tact and efficiency (she is a qualified solicitor, so she knows her stuff). Thank you each and every one of you.

Without ranting here are the general issues we had
* Always late for viewings * Communication was poor, they forgot to advise the seller we were viewing the property meaning we walked in on the previous owner crying whilst removing photos of her recently lost mother, to which they also arrived 30 minutes late! * research the incident regarding a well in malmesbury, this incident is an event that shows poor knowledge of what they were selling. we never got a straight answer on certain things either. * our plumbing failed on completion day, when I called the office they advised they knew the previous owner as a proffesional plumber and that he would visit to fix the issues, he arrived and was rude whilst making the plumbing issues even worse before leaving. * When I called and spoke to the director he was rude and extremely unhelpful, very much showed the attitude of we have your money now so you need a legal battle.
I may of had a one off experience... but the experience I had was shocking. I will avoid them like the plague in future.
