All I need to tell anyone interested in renting from Sharman Quinney lettings is that, do not expect your deposit back anytime soon after you've moved out. It will take months before they will released your money. You will call severally and email countless it wouldn't do it, they will keep telling you they will get back to you but they never do. Frustrating and annoying really as you'd expect your deposit back to you within 10 days of moving out. I don't understand how this people operate and how they think they can hold on to someone's money for months. I'm calling their head office in the morning to file a complaints.

I am actually disgusted at the service sharman quinney have provided. I moved out of a property on the 19th August 2020 & as yet I still have not recieved my deposit of £900. My landlord & I gave authorisation for it to be released at the same time & my landlord advised it should have taken 7 working days. I called & was told it would be repaid but she couldn't give a date because 'they have hundreds of payments to process'!! Someone else is occupying the property I vacated, so they have had both deposits for several weeks.

They mislead you into taking out a life-time membership to access their mortgage services when you first buy or take out a mortgage through their services. When you try to cash in on that life-time membership they ignore you, fail to call you back, give no help or advice whatsoever. They do not uphold their promises and certainly live up to the bad name given to "Estate Agents". Avoid at all costs and don't be taken in by their false promises and lies!!

Not a good company, a very inexperienced feel when dealing with the team. Extremely rude individual when trying to get deposit and over payment back from them after a tenancy agreement where full refund was agreed. When handing in my notice I was told that I was not able to as I was not at the end of my agreement, yet the clause that THEY added was being used to leave.

If I could give 0 stars or -1 stars I would. This Agency is is only interested in your money. Now that is nothing new but the way they try to get your money is inhuman. Let me explain: This Agency started a contract with me without me signing it. How? I was supposed to move in with someone but when I saw the amount of the deposit I had doubts. I asked them to move the moving in date but it turns out that if one party has signed the contract for I had no say any more. I was told we can not move date and if they will do I will loose my holding deposit and on top of that I would have to pay a fee for getting out of a contract I never signed. This is where the nightmare began. As I had already invested I had tried to make it work but the moving date was in the middle of the month which caused issues as my payment is end of the month. I asked to move it. I was asked to pay a small fee of 30 pounds which was annoying but not a big problem. I told them to take it the end of the month. As I awaited the end of the month I was asked to pay nearly double of the amount of my rent. This is when I decided to move out. It was just money, money, money. I moved out 3 months ago and I still have not received a deposit. They do not allow you to talk with the landlord or accounts team. I never met an agency that does not allow you to talk to the Landlord! This contract to me was like signing a deal with the devil the least I can do is inform people about the way they go about things. No service is for free but not considering peoples financial circumstances, pushing them to move in now or charging them for no reason and then when it comes to them giving money back they "take time". I have never felt so belittled. They want you to beg you to give you YOUR money back. Please if you read this be warned.

First time I am renting out my property with Sharman Quinney in Peterborough. bad idea. negative and expensive. I mean ..maybe I live in a different era but mine is deffo faster. after I have signed contracts with them I read feedback from other customers. yep. my bad and mistake. also not sure why 10 % of rent for. ??

They give the most terrible service ever.
Don't rent from them what ever you do ,they are full of false promises.
I have had so much stress from.them and I've only been renting for 2 weeks yet.

Moved into a rented property in April. Property was filthy although assured it would be cleaned. The inventory noted a leak under the sink which had not been rectified! I had to ring the agents within an hour of getting to the property to report the leak; the landlord turned up and disconnected the waste pipe from dishwasher which had been connected with tape to spigot under sink! Lots of maintenance issues, mostly not dealt with. Fence was falling down and was told landlord didn't own the boundary when in fact they did but just didn't want to fix it. Treated like third class citizen by Sharman Quinney. Had to pay 6 months rent up front, they had my money so not interested in treating me fairly. Massive fees, apathy, disinterest should be their motto. Official complaint unanswered after 5 months! Avoid!

the service is a shambles, when leaving the checkout process does not match the check in process, they refuse to provide evidence of trumped up costs and charges for when moving out.
they also lose personal and sensitive personal information which is a breach of the data protection act 1998.
I am glad that I will never have to deal with these people again and would recommend that everyone avoid them as much as possible
