After informing Peter Herons for Four years that a boiler in our rented property HAD NOT been serviced, I collapsed and needed urgent hospital attention.
Unable to work we used all our savings to pay the rent, until we fell behind with our rent to the total of £270, This was less than two weeks rent.
Peter Heron then Flounced the law, Illegally issued an section 21 possession order to evict us and retain our deposit.
They failed in their duty of care
They ignore the Law and rulings by Queens Council. And even when I point out exactly where they go wrong. they ignore the facts, ignore the law and I can prove that through ignorance they will lie to you

Over the last 4 years as a tenant Victoria has been amazing if I ever had a query or concern she would always do everything she could to help me . Let down again when dealing as a buyer through this agent . Its not really the Agents fault if a buyer accepts your offer and then finds someone who will pay more and ends up lying through there teeth. But when you get a blunt phone call and a blunt email to say they are going to " final bids" without any apology then its poor service . We sold our house recently via Michal Hodgson Estate Agent I 4 days and our buyer told me Peter Herons handling of viewings was terrible . Michael Hodgson is by far best Agent in Sunderland "by a country mile."

Wanted to book a viewing and did so with just under a 2 week wait. Got a phone call a few days before saying about some sort of clash in times but the woman on the phone said she'll try and sort it and if she couldn't or there was a problem she would call back. No call. So made my way to the property on the day with my baby daughter, got there 10 mins early and waited just around 45 mins in the cold for nobody to turn up, and at that the branches had closed so had no other contact number. Monday came and decided to phone them to ask why, apparently it had been cancelled and 'suspended' and the woman on phone was going to look into it and call me back, still waiting a week later for this call... Also picked up that they have a habit of not removing properties online that have agreements.

Extremely unhappy with Peter Heron! I advice everyone to be careful with this company! Unprofessional and fake promises made all the time.
I recieved a letter with the date they were going to attempt the property I live in. I cancelled important work, so I can wait for them. I was in home all day.
At 16:40pm, I gave them a call to check when they are coming, as I had an event at 17:30. I got told that my property will be visited no later than 17:00 pm the same day!
That never happened... Of course I phoned tha same branch again and got told completely different information. I will be visited on the next morning (08/06/2016).
On my later clearly says You will be visited on 07/06/2016 between 9 am - 17pm. I am unhappy, as this is not the first time that happens.

Having made initial enquires about the property with a different letting agent I was disheartened at the cost of the admin fee they were charging so decided not to proceed. It was after this I contacted Peter Heron, and spoke with Victoria. In the first stages she was extremely helpful and gave me all the information I needed and arranged my viewing. From deciding I wanted to proceed with my application I cannot fault her professionalism at all. Approachable, informative and a pleasure to deal with are only a few of the things I can say to sum up. Her help was second to none. She kept me updated on an almost daily basis of my application process, and on completion. I have to say that having dealt with a few agents in the past, I feel the need to say that all of them should example from Victoria. I would happily recommend her and Peter Heron to anyone wishing to rent a property. A fantastic service all round and one very satisfied customer. Thank you

What agent could do to change your mind?
I just feel the selling fees are rather high. Other companies do offer lower prices and although I am very happy with the service I may be tempted to go for a cheaper option next time. If your prices were more competitive it may help as if I had know the cheaper prices before I would of gone with another company.

I received a 25% discount on Peter Heron\'s tenant finders fee, so I was more than pleased. The 10% monthly maintenance fee is pretty standard, I believe.
