Do not believe that for one minute you will get any help to get your money back they lie to steal it from and make up invoices

Truly the best, most professional team ever. We landed from overseas during the Edinburgh Festival with no place to stay and Murray & Currie went out of their way to help us.
We are indebted especially to Steven Livingston, he is a real asset to the company, thoroughly committed, hard working and sincere. If not for him we would have been homeless to date.
Even after moving in, any maintenance work needed, we only have to email them and everything is taken care of.

Worst student letting agent every. Tude contractors, rude emails, pretty much rude everything. Flat, advertised as 'for students'. Broken washing machine which took 10 days to fix, leaky shower which took 5 visits to fix, dangerous and illegal electrics which basically caused our broadband fitter to have a hissy fit. Despite constant complaining about all of these problems, we were never taken seriously. Instead the Letting Agent; they patronised and ignored us, threatened us with extortionate cleaing charges for an overpriced property the size of a postage stamp. Over £500 quid for a clean and bulbs is dalight robbery. Me and 3 of my friends who rented their properties have nothing but criticisms for this tragic letting agent. Not to mention our security door was broken for two months and no fewer than 2 doors basically fell our their hinges mid tenancy. Never ever do business with them, you'll thank me later. Now, let's see if I get an angry reply from one of the stuck up owners pillaging students to make their fortune .

From the get go, I found one of the staff members rude. When I pointed out a developing mould issue and asked for assistance and whether it would be acceptable for me to live in that condition, the agent basically told me that I do not have to live at the flat. During COVID-19, viewings were booked and prospective tenants showed up to my flat unannounced, as I was not informed beforehand (attempts were made to later rectify this, however). After paying my final energy bill, my former utility supplier was contacting me and my partner months later for payment, for a period when we were no longer living in the flat. The letting agency advised that they had made appropriate contact with the energy supplier from their end, but for future tenants, it would be good to ensure that this process has been fully closed off to avoid similar issues. I hope improvements in customer service can be made in future. Thank you for your services.

Upon finishing my shift I went to spend the night in my new flat only to realize they had given us the wrong keys. The contact on the emergency number said 'no chance I am coming through to Glasgow tonight' So we were forced to book into a hotel. They did reimburse us for this expense, apologized profusely and had an agent drive into Glasgow the next day with the correct set of keys, but it would have been avoided had they done the customary thing of meeting the tenant at the flat.

We have required a few repairs(boiler, water ingress etc) only to find the maintenance individual does not enjoy coming through to Glasgow which results in long waits and having to either take time off or leaving keys as they don't want to go to the office to get the spare set. Things like this are unprofessional and cause undue stress for the tenant.
The water damage that was caused by another M&C flat was not fixed, just covered up. Which, will obviously require to be fixed eventually. Why not just do it right the first time?
We had major water ingress in our flat during the pandemic and our ceiling collapsed as a result, it was shocking to see how slow Murray & Currie reacted to our situation. We had to deal with the collapsed ceiling and water damage for 3 months (until we ultimately moved out as it was a health risk to stay in the flat)
I am sure all of these issues would have been addressed sooner if Murray & Currie would send representatives to Glasgow.

I rented an apartment in Edinburgh in 2018 for a couple of years.
The rental agent I was in contact with, Kim Keenan, has been really professional and made the renting process very smooth and easy. I came from abroad, so for me all the system was new.
During my stay I had a couple of maintenance problems: the contact person for such issues, Claire Green, was always giving a prompt response and quickly able to fix the problem.
My overall experience with Murray&Currie was really good and I recommend it.
