Greene and Co helped me buy my home in Crouch End and I couldn't have been happier with their service. I dealt with Yehya, Summer and Cheryl and all of these people played a huge part in helping me secure the flat I so desperately wanted but almost didn't get due to issues in the conveyancing process.
The team at Greene and Co went above and beyond what is expected. Summer used their network of Countrywide offices to certify ID for my friends dotted across the country so that I could get the property exchanged else it was going to fall through whilst Yehya came to my home to collect my ID documents which was amazing as I was so busy.
I didn't use their recommended solicitors but wish I had but no matter they still helped me through the issues with my solicitor. I was so relieved when we exchanged, I had almost given up but Greene and Co kept dealing with problem after problem. I now realise what a difference a capable and experienced estate agent can make to the stressful experience of buying and selling a home. Thank you so much. I look forward to dealing with you again in the future.r

We have endured a living nightmare renting a managed property from Greene and Co since December 2016 (106A stapleton hall road). They let us move in to a flat that had a giant hole in the roof (in winter!!), none of the light bulbs working, a temperamental shower, a broken oven and our storage areas full of the previous tenants belongings. Without telling us.
The ceiling has collapsed a further 2 times while we've been in the house. Every contractor they have sent round has done a terrible job and damaged the property and our personal belongings further, leaving us to clean up their mess. When asked why we weren't told before moving in that there was a hole in the roof, the property manager's answer was it's not my fault and I've never been to the property so I didn't know. It took 3 months just to get them to remove the rubble from the roof that the contractors left all over our garden. Also 3 months to fix all the lightbulbs, and even then they were done to a poor standard. The previous tenants belongings are still in the house despite us asking endlessly to have them removed. The first property management person we dealt with was one of the rudest, most unprofessional and incompetent person I have ever dealt with.
The second person has been better but she is obviously stumped by the fact that there is clearly a complete disregard for tenants within the company - it's all about money for them. The only compensation we've received was after months and months of fighting, we got our admin fees back. It's a total joke of a company, they don't seem to understand that a poor living situation can ruin someone's life. I feel so so bad for the next set of people who are going to live in this flat, because I imagine once again Greene & Co will say anything to get them to sign on the dotted line, without a care in the world for what will happen to them next.
Now they're trying to say we're going to lose some of our deposit for painting a wall that was already like that when we moved in, and for damage to the property. What a joke.
Do not rent with them, do not let them manage your property. Crooks.

Greene and Co falsely advertised that a house to let came with access to communal gardens. We signed a tenancy agreement after also being verbally assured that the tenancy came with access to the communal gardens. This was also clearly stated in the advert - and this was the reason that we chose the house (it was a lot more rent than we would have otherwise paid). When it transpired (through our own investigation) that the house did not in fact have any right of access to the gardens, we sought to unwind the tenancy agreement, assuming this would happen immediately as Greene&Co had admitted and apologised for the error. However, they held us to the tenancy agreement, leaving us with the expensive and time-consuming option of going to court to get the tenancy unwound. We had clear legal advice that the advert was in breach of the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008. It was December, we had a six-week old baby, and we had to move before the school deadline of 15 January for our older child. Despite being aware of this, Greene&Co refused to release us from the tenancy, and in desperation, we agreed to pay over £3,000 to be released from the tenancy and to come to a 'full and final' settlement. The office staff themselves did seem to want to help us, but the directors would not release us from the tenancy - despite admitting to misleading us, and being fully aware of our personal situation. Immoral, deceitful and very happy to take advantage of our situation to force us to settle. our experience of using this estate agent is very unpleasant
we asked them to evaluate our property, and the Manager Summer Preston, showed up with a junior negotiator. They undervalued our property by over �50K! Suggesting the market was very slow at the time (Nov. 2014), and would not be able to achieve the asking price.
She suggested not to complete the renovation work, as not necessary, and pretend she had an investor interested in the purchase. As we became suspicious of her waffles, she admitted she was interested in buying the property for herself!
Needless to say we did not feel comfortable selling the property through Greene and Co.
We sold the property for well over the asking price through a different estate agent .
We would not consider selling another property through Greene and Co Crouch End branch.

We had an absolutely shambolic experience with Greene & Co, which unfortunately is ongoing despite us having vacated our property.
There were innumerable issues with our property which our landlord failed to carry out her basic duties (eg. heating and hot water broken, repairs not authorised therefore G&C were 'unable' to do anything to assist us), at every turn we were met by rude, unfriendly and unsympathetic staff who shared our case around and therefore INTERNAL miscommunication was a constant battle to overcome, along with all the other practical faults of our property combined with a useless landlord.
We are due to be reimbursed with our rent and due to have our deposit returned to us and are in the course of taking legal action to claim both back because we now we are no longer tenants, we have no confidence at all that we will receive the money owed to us. The staff we have dealt with have told us contradictory stories throughout our tenancy which means we have absolutely no trust in the organisation or that we will receive the money owed to us.
When viewings were taking place for new tenants, we were never given notice (which is illegal) and therefore had people knocking at the door in the middle of the evening completely unexpectedly on a regular basis. When we did come to vacate, we had a week left as rightful tenants but as G&C knew we were moving to our new property earlier they authorised contractors to come in and treat our house as an empty home - we returned one evening to find all 3 beds piled on top of one another in one of the bedrooms and dust sheets covering the entire house meaning that we were unable to complete final cleaning tasks. We have since been informed that the cost of these will be deducted from our deposit (entirely unfairly as we were unable to finish up the small remaining bits of cleaning), however at this moment in time we doubt we will receive any of the remainder of our deposit back.
In short, I would advise extremely strongly against going with Greene & Co. Their fees are astronomical and the service abysmal. Go with a private landlord or a smaller agency, our experience so far with our new estate agents could not be more different.

Sofia dealt with a situation of a failed viewing really well and used her initiative to ensure a viewing was arranged at another property immediately...as it turned out it was the flat that is now my home. She was responsive and supportive throughout the offer and contract negotiations particularly in light of a few complications that she was quick to address with the support of her manager. Finally she went above and beyond when she helped me on the day of the move; the key pickup hadn't gone to plan but Sofia sorted it all out with good nature and professionalism avoiding what could have been a bit of a disaster...all on her day off! She then personally dropped off the spare keys a few days later to save me the journey to the office.

Sofia kept me informed along the whole process, phoning and emailing when anything had to be updated, she always phoned when she said she would and at convenient times to suit me. She went beyond what I expected from letting agent and it was only when I seen her title at the bottom of an email that I realised she was a trainee. She definitely exhumes confidence and experience. Sofia has a great manner was able to relate to myself who is 28 and my mother in her 50's who she put at ease with my transition to London. I have never received such service from letting agent and would 100% recommend sofia to friends, infact I already have! I have complete confidence in her abilities
