Borderline illegal sales tactics. The sales team lie about fake offers put into properties to try and increase your offer. Twice I was advised of higher “offers” that had been received and that I just needed to increase my offer a little bit more. Spoke with my solicitor who confirmed there were no other offers. Spoke with Clyde who advised these were “verbal” offers and the solicitor wouldn’t be aware of them!? Pulled my offer out of principal and lack of trust with the Clyde team. The property I was trying to buy now remains on the market unsold. I doubt the owner is even aware as to why we actually pulled the offer.

Horrible branch. Was told I had a viewing at 18:30 and waited an hour for nobody to arrive. Contacted the office the next day and they informed me that it was an error as the viewing wasn't booked in the diary. I was then told that I would be given "priority" when it comes to viewing. I was then booked a few days later for another property viewing at 18:00. I received another call at 10:30 on the day of the viewing stating that the property is no longer available after me and my partner taking time off work to attend. Horrible service over the phones as I asked to speak to a specific member of staff that was dealing with my complaint to be asked "why can't I assist?". I highly recommend looking elsewhere for property.

What agent could do to change your mind?
£600 marketing fee including vat - too high We asked them to reduce fee as unhappy with overall service and was basically advised photos/video were to a high standard Think they are missing the point - photos and videos don't just sell houses - High level of experienced trained staff sell houses

Disappointed with extremely poor service from Clyde Property Hamilton (Sales)
Lack of communication, unprofessional to the extent of being rude and no drive or ideas.
We had to contact The Property Ombudsman for advice after our emailed complaint received no reply from Managing Director!
We have chosen another smaller local estate agent, who are not selling New Builds, and are delighted with the personal service.
Please do your homework before signing up for Clyde Hamilton to market your home as they have wasted our time

We tried to sell my mum's flat with this company and they are just awful. They are rude and unprofessional. The flat was not selling so we decided to consider renting it out to a family member. Clyde arranged a viewing for the flat while this family member was also looking around and let Clyde know that they would possibly rent the place as it was not selling. This seemed ok and nothing was confirmed yet, but a few weeks later we received a letter: "A payment of £420 to withdraw the property from the market is still outstanding and due immediately. Please call to make payment or we will pass your details on to our collection agency". What a disgusting way to treat customers without politely asking for a payment first or even asking what their intentions are. Can't wait to get rid of them. No customer service skills or manners whatsoever! So unprofessional!

After two years in the same property, I was present during the check out and I received the congratulations form the person who did it for the good conditions of the property. After this, what I received from the company is that they will deduct a cleanning cost. I am still wondering what they will charge as the property is completelly clean. It is evident that this is their standard and their way to make money as I see from other comments that my case is not the only one. In adittion, they say now, two years later, than they didn't receive my comments on the inventory, when I have confirmation that they received it, where I reported the terrible cleanning conditions in which the property was given to me. I have not other way to call it than fraud. Avoid them if you can.

I was really pleased with Clyde as an Estate Agent. Cheryl was really helpful and managed to get lots of viewers quite quickly and we actually got a closing date, despite other agents having told us that the market was pretty bad. I found it useful that Clyde were open seven days which was great for viewings etc.

I wish I had read these reviews before signing up with Clyde.
It took 7 months to get our house rented out, and during that time they had no helpful suggestions as to how to get tenants in. Communication was awful, we had to chase them, despite promises of weekly updates.
When they eventually found tenants, they told them the property would be unfurnished when we had clearly stated it would be part-furnished, resulting in us having to hire a van and make another trip to remove furniture. Despite it being their fault they offered no help. They refused to let our tenants move in on the day they wanted because they already had 4 sets of keys to release that day!
We have just received our first months rent - 9 working days after the tenants paid! It was paid into the wrong bank account and they charged us twice for the advertising fee. The agent we deal with neglected to tell us that a £250 & vat fee would be coming off the first month's rent when she confirmed the amount we would be receiving.
They are incompetent, inefficient and unhelpful. We will not be renewing our contract at the end of the current lease.
