As a landlord, I used Braemore as my letting agent for several years. I then used them for sales when it came to selling the property.
All in all, Braemore provided a good service which met my needs, although I was not blown away by their attention to detail.
At times there was a lack of communication between people internally at Braemore, particularly between departments - quite often I had to explain to person X that I'd already resolved some issue while in contact with person Y - there was more confusion than there should have been. Perhaps their internal systems could be more streamlined and centralised so that everyone leaves notes on the same file, and there is a chronological record of everything relevant to the property. At times, as a landlord, the company's desire to make more money shone through a little too brightly.
The people were friendly, however, and I would consider using Braemore again in future.

Flippant customer service!
T* answered the call I made to enquire about applying for a flat I had viewed.
She was rude and abrupt after I asked (politely) why no one was picking up the phone (Its very hard to get through to anyone and extremely frustrating when you are caught up in the game of viewing/applying in the Edinburgh property market).
Cutting me mid sentence, she advised me that the property was gone and 'that was the luck of the draw'...... charming!!
To trivialise a prospective tenant missing out on a property (somewhere to live) in such a flippant manner is so unprofessional. Despite no one replying to a voicemail I left at Braemore the day before enquiring about the same flat.
She topped that by going on to tell me that I should have known to directly email the viewer who showed me the property and not to phone them at the office as they were 'busy'.
She also insisted that my girlfriend had been given the direct email address of the viewer (we still cant find that email address) and I didnt really get the chance to explain this.
Her general tone was off and when I asked to speak with someone to make a complaint she said 'ehhhhhm not now, it's lunch time'........ brilliant!
She told me someone would call me back but of course, no one from Braemore had the decency to do do. A simple call back would have cleared everything up but it seems like they dont do 'complaints'.
I was fuming with this level of disinterest....
To see so many people lose their jobs due to COVID 19 and struggle to find work while certain individuals, who are still lucky enough to be employed, persist in rudeness and moaning about being busy!
How hard can it be to listen to someone politely on a phone or phone someone back?
Maybe the bonus structure at Braemore takes presidence over genaral politeness and customer service?

I recently moved for the first time in nearly 40 years and used an estate agent for the first time.
Braemore were excellent throughout the process, personal and professional, and handled the unfortunate effect of Covid (where we lost an accepted offer of £301000) very well indeed.
The quality of the Sales Brochure was incredible and impressed everyone who saw it - hence quick viewing and sale.

I have just completed the sale of my flat with Braemore Sales, after a long and arduous few months due to the recent 'combustible materials' issues following the Grenfell Tower fire Legislation. Braemore's Donna Reape's service was exemplary and she 'held my hand' through many twists and turns due to the ambiguous new legislation. Braemore found me a buyer within a couple of weeks and this buyer stayed the course for many months before having to drop out unexpectedly near the finishing line. Donna then found a new buyer, again within a couple of weeks, with a quick Completion despite the Corvid- 19 issues . Donna Reape responded quickly and efficiently to all my contact and went the extra mile on several occasions. I could not have wanted anyone better to conduct the sale. And all this service over and above the expected work, within the framework of the original fees quoted.

I'm glad I don't have a property through them. Myself and my family tried to rent the property in Willowbrae at the beginning of March. (5 stars to the agent who viewed the property with me) We went through the application process and got refused based on my self employment status. I'm not a millionaire but 45k a year should have been sufficient. I see the property is still on the market leaving a huge loss to the owner who has also had to reduce the rent costs further. It's discrimination to treat the self employed to harsher checks and you should be ashamed.

Braemore are committed to providing a professional service to all our landlords and tenants. When something goes wrong, we need you to tell us about it. This will help us to improve our standards. If you have a complaint, please put it in writing, including as much detail as possible.
If you have a complaint about our service, or about the service of a contractor or third party who we have instructed to provide goods or services in relation to a property owned by or occupied by you, please write down the details of your complaint and send it to:
Braemore, Orchard Brae House, Level 2, 30 Queensferry Road, Edinburgh, EH4 2HS or email:- info@braemore.co.uk, alternatively you can:
Fill in a complaints form
Braemore will respond in line with the timeframes set out below (if you feel we have not sought to address your complaints within eight weeks, you may be able to refer your complaint to the Property Ombudsman to consider without our final viewpoint on the matter).
What will happen next?
We will send you an email acknowledging receipt of your complaint within 3 working days of receiving it.
We will then investigate your complaint. This will normally be dealt with by the line manager who will review your file and speak to the member of staff who dealt with you. A formal written email outcome of our investigation will be sent to you within 15 working days of sending the acknowledgment email.
