We have had a very positive experience liaising with Black Katz as prospective tenants to our current place. Erika was our move-in manager and she made the move-in process very easy for us. Was an easy process working with them and always quick communication.
Even when we did not receive the first property because of an indecisive landlord, we stayed in contact with agent Jonny who quickly found us a new property that suits in a similar area. He did not just abandon us and get on with his other prospective property’s.
This flat ended up being much better.
Erika has also been extremely quick and clear with communication and answering our questions in a timely manner. As well as being patient with us whilst we sort documentation which is much appreciated.

As an international student that will move to London, I have to say that it has been an intense process especially in terms of international banking systems and hardships regarding them. Their customer service was great, and the staff were very responsive to our questions.
Their policy of granting the tenancy to the first valid tenants who pay the deposit is much better than encouraging bidding wars (and means the listed price actually has some meaning).

My Husband and I used Black Katz for the first time to find a property to rent. We are really happy with the way everything has been managed and dealt with. We were able to view the property we wanted to rent immediately and our tenancy agreement was signed and finalised within 10 days of viewing the property. There were some issues with the Landlords office however Gemma Love, our Move In Manager, did everything she could to resolve the issue for us. Gemma was brilliant; she remained clam, patient and was reassuring when we were panicking. She responded immediately to all our emails and calls. We can't thank Gemma enough for her hard work and efforts.

Since before even moving in, dealing with Blackkatz has been the most frustrating experience I have ever had. I work in hospitality and know how horrible customer service jobs can be, but we have been dealing with maintenance issues from day one and over and over again they are ignored and mishandled. Two formal complaints have got us absolutely nowhere- we got a voucher for JustEat for 100£. Don't know how that's supposed to make up for months of living with visible damage from leaks, a broken fridge, broken blinds, broken cupboards, broken oven. Even when trying to organise contractor & engineer appointments, they call us the morning of and say “Is someone home? They're outside!” with no warning and nobody is there! When we make appointments nobody shows up and then they blame us for missing the call-out when we were home and nobody phoned us to ask to be let in. No clue how then hell they have so many positive reviews. They're absolutely useless to the point of neglect.

Other than that, when we entered the flat, we realised that there is a serious mould issue, which I would personally expect the letting agent to inform us prior to agreeing. It was not easy to spot when I viewed the flat and I am sure that these things are very well known to the letting agents. It was disappointing I didn't receive the heads up, although the letting agent was very polite/helpful otherwise. I am a tenant that fully respect the property/fulfiling all obligations (including payments) fully/timely and landlords/letting agents can only benefit if they are completely honest with me too.
