BEWARE! If it was possible to give no stars I would: It seems that this agency has been collecting rents and not forwarding them to landlords for some time. I am now owed 2 months rent and planned inspections have not been carried out. Repeated promises to improve services have never materialised. Calls to the office are not answered, and calls to the agent's mobile number go to voicemail. My advice is DO NOT USE THIS AGENCY, and if you are a landlord with property they manage, be very, very wary.

May 9, 2013The police are involved. They have confirmed that they are looking into several instances of fraud relating to the person running this branch. Contact Action Fraud on 0300 1232040 and report fraud or complaint to them.

May 29, 2013I'm a tenant and never received my deposit back. I spoke to someone at head office in Essex last week and they have reason to believe that he's left the country!

About seven years ago we let out our old home through Castle Estates and the company caused us nothing but stress and anxiety. Despite the fact that we had lived in the property for five years and kept it in first-class condition, the agent told us that we had a rat infestation and that he had eliminated the problem. He charged us over £100 for what was, in effect, a £4 tray of rat poison. When my wife challenged him about the number of rats he had exterminated, Stephen said that it was "between two and three". My wife then asked if he had exterminated two and a half rats.

About seven years ago we let out our old home through Castle Estates and the company caused us nothing but stress and anxiety. Despite the fact that we had lived in the property for five years and kept it in first-class condition, the agent told us that we had a rat infestation and that he had eliminated the problem. He charged us over £100 for what was, in effect, a £4 tray of rat poison. When my wife challenged him about the number of rats he had exterminated, Stephen said that it was "between two and three". My wife then asked if he had exterminated two and a half rats.
The tenants he chose to live in our house were awful. Their combined incomes were very low which gave them issues with meeting the monthly payments and, after the six months term was up, they left broken furniture in the house and the whole property needed profession deep cleaning.
Avoid this agent at all cost.

since sept 2012 i've had problems will castle paying the me my rent. the tenant had paid. so what was the problem. i didnt even get a single call or letter form castle estates to explain. i went to the office every day but it was closed. im still waiting for an explaination to where my money is. ...
