I was truly impressed with Lock & Key, they did exactly what I asked of them, and nothing was too much trouble. Nigel understood the need for speed, and found buyers so quickly, within days. Julie was great, keeping the communication going in all directions, keeping everyone on board and took meter readings for me., which helped enormously. A huge thank you to them for making a difficult situation so much easier.

Simply superb service from Nigel and the team. Within the space of a week of marketing our property, they had organised multiple viewings and presented numerous offers to us - all exceeding our expectations. We loved the way Nigel created a video tour of our house, and the support provided to us by Julie and Alicia was incredibly reassuring. The service hasn't stopped just because we have sold our house, Nigel and the team are working tirelessly to help us find our new home. We can't thank them enough for all of their help and support.

A very short call to enquire about a property for sale was answered by Nigel and handled very poorly indeed. A very rude and abrupt individual who's approach to a busy situation was handled with aggression and threats. I would not use this estate agent and I will be in touch with the owners of the property that is for sale and will be informing them of what happened as well. Stay well clear

26 Apr 2021We do not accept this and neither do our clients who backed our decision. Unfortunately for us this gentleman tried to get access to a property which we politely said could not happen on that said day. He tried to ask many times over in different ways and we politely said no. He then suggested he would just go direct and knocking on the door of the said property direct. With Covid rules and protocols this is not acceptable behaviour and one that we firmly gave a more direct response too. My clients were updated in fact of this gentleman and his intentions and they would have happily told him to go away and would have been not as polite as us. The said property sold stc for the asking price that day! Our Clients gave us a glowing testimonial on google and 5 stars on how we handled their sale and this gentleman. Here it is - Excellent service from lock &key, had 6 viewings within 24 hours, sold for the full asking price. Special thanks to Nigel for ensuring that all covid rules we followed, and for firmly putting in his place one random guy who thought he could just rock up,knock on my door and wander in. 27 Apr 2021Well it is clear to me that Nigel at Lock & Key has clearly mislead his clients and spun them his version of events with regards to what was said on our call. Yes his sellers are happy their property has sold and are therefore likely to support his rebuttal of my review but he has clearly misinformed them of the facts in this scenario. The situation indeed started with what was a very keen interest from myself in viewing a property but it was apparent very quickly that Nigel gave the ‘impression’ that couldn’t be bothered! Maybe a stressful morning or there was a busy afternoon ahead, either way Nigel’s attitude on the phone was far from energetic at the start and it just got worse throughout the call. However, what is absolutely incorrect is that I suggested I would just go and knock on the door. Why would I, or anyone for that matter travel for several hours to view a property without an appointment?! What was actually the case was I asked that if he had no appointments available, would the seller be able to accept a viewing in person? This question was posed as this is something I have experienced very recently first hand with other agencies. A simple clarification on the matter along the lines of this isn’t possible in this case would have sufficed. I wouldn’t have just turned up and I think anyone reading this would know that but nice try. I do understand you feel the need to defend your position Lock & Key but I would suggest that if you maintain your professionalism at all times then all of this could have been avoided... Notwithstanding the above, I maintain that my initial statement is accurate. I don’t make the effort to write reviews on mediocre service, only extremely good or incredibly poor experiences warrant the time to write such a lengthy review and I again reiterate that I will not use or recommend that anyone use this estate agent.

27 Apr 2021This gentleman sounds like Dominic Cumming and his travel arrangements and his story telling. Maybe he was just sight seeing and checking out his binoculars. Whilst other agencies may offer a service were they get their clients do do their viewings it is not something we would ever do, especially in Covid times. I clarified numerous times that a viewing was not possible. As for me being far from energetic its funny as i personally conducted 6 accompanied viewings (with Covid protocols in place) on that property and was energetic enough to secure a full asking price offer accepted by our clients. We can accept that you will not recommend our services and we can only wish you the very best going forward. My clients fully support me in this and you can't take this away from their very good experience of Lock & Key and our excellent review we received from them. Warm regards

I instructed Lock & Key after a disappointing start in selling my house through another agent. From the get-go Nigel was exceedingly helpful, advisory and positive about selling my house and I did not hesitate in signing a contract with Lock & Key. Things moved swiftly from that point, my house was online within 24 hours and I had viewings within days. Feedback and logical advice were on tap, however the thing that makes this company different is their pro-activeness in selling houses. Nigel and his team work extremely hard to ensure a sale, thinking ahead, calling prospects, caring about their clients and following up on viewings in a timely way, and isn't that we all want when we appoint an Estate Agent? But beyond the functional stuff, I can honestly say I've received a 1-1 customer service that has beaten everyone else, and this is my 20th move! Thanks guys, you really do care, it makes a big difference. I highly recommend using Lock & Key.

I can't say that I would recommend this agent, my first issue came when I was viewing, I looked at 2 properties in the morning and that afternoon called to make an offer to be told that the property had been sold that I wanted to offer on, before looking to get any feedback from myself or seeing if I would like to offer more.
I did agree on a different property, and on a second viewing arranged, the viewing lady did not turn up, after 15 minutes of waiting outside I called the office where she answered and told me she thought the viewing was at 10:30am not 10am, after checking the diary she confirmed it was in there for 10am.
Between making the offer and completion I was not contacted or updated once on the progress
On the day of completion they left me a message to state I could collect the keys and to call to when I would be over, I called back an hour later and there was no answer, I drove over from Swindon to get to the office and find the sign saying Open, the A boards outside, the lights on but the door locked, I stood outside for an hour waiting, after an hour (I know this as I had to get a new parking ticket) they came back telling me that they had 2 staff off sick and they were all out doing viewing, this I understand, what annoyed me was no message on the door stating when they would be shut or a phone message telling me not to come between certain times.
One positive was that when I got to the property and found it still to be full of furniture that they did get hold of the vendor and solicitors stating that it was not acceptable, and gave me the contact details of the vendor from which I have been able to arrange getting some money towards clearing the property.
Overall my feeling are that it was not a great experience

I had an absolutely awful experience with this estate agency firm from start to finish.
*The property 'expert' was half an hour late arriving for my valuation. He then spoke at me for half an hour telling me his company was the better choice and they done 'far more' than the other agents in the town to get me moving. I very naively went on the market with this company without doing any research on the other companies in the town.
I had to chase Lock & Key after 3 weeks having heard nothing from them. I got through to a young lady who explained the market was very slow and that I should reduce my price. I found this an astonishing first conversation with someone who had not even seen my property. I refused her 'suggestion' and another two weeks went by before I finally got a phone call for two viewings. Fantastic. The staff were however too 'busy' to accompany the viewings and would I mind showing the viewers around. Reluctantly I said yes (I'm no spring chicken). The first viewer didn't turn up and the second viewer told me that this was not what he was looking for but Lock & Key told him to look around anyway. What a waste of my time.
After three months on the market with no more viewings (just the one) I ended my contract. I went on the market with another agent in the town and had an offer on my property within two weeks.
I had a dreadful experience and shall not ever use them to buy or sell due to their complete incompetence.

On checking out we were slapped with a bill of nearly 1200 pounds for items that were not even notified on the inventory, cleaning bills and alleged damages to the property. We have resolved to take the matter to court as we believe such rogues should not be allowed to get away with bullying of this sort.

I would recommend that you keep clear of this firm.
