Just the worse, most unprofessional agents a landlord could ever want. I had to chase endlessly for anything to be done, everything was done 'cheaply' and yet they were expensive.
My experience was over a period of 15years. I once had tenants whom clearly never had checks done (my neighbours later told me, tenant had form for not paying rent… ) and I lost so much money as a result.
Just one example.
As an overseas landlord, one needs an agent who actively does the job as managing agent.

I have just started using the Bairstow Eves, East Croydon portal as a landlord and have no hesitation in highly recommending this tool to any landlord.
It is exceptionally well designed and provides all the information, be it historical, financial, or current, that I could possibly need, all at the click of a button.
I very much appreciate the inclusive, almost family, feel of this portal which welcomes landlords, tenants, management, and staff to the constructive, sincere, and caring environment that characterizes the East Croydon Branch of Bairstow Eves.
I regard it as the most professional digital aid of its kind that I have encountered to date and I access the portal as part of my daily routine.

Flat fee rather than as a percentage of sale: initially a \'leap of faith\' that they will be incentivised to achieve the best price possible, but in my case I can only say I was well satisfied.

We recently moved into a property in East Croydon let by Bairstow Eves. The staff were helpful and friendly, and in particular, Doug, the agent assisting us, was very open and honest, which for me was very important. He was also very approachable, outgoing and just very helpful all round. I have found in the past that moving house and the whole letting experience can be very stressful, made even more so if the experience with the Letting Agent is a bad one. Thankfully, this particular experience, with Bairstow Eves and Doug's assistance, has been a positive one.

It was great to have Doug as my estate agent. I had several problems finding a place to live shortly after moving to London from abroad and it's heart-warming to find a person who is close, understanding and willing to give a hand. I know from my own experience that it's not like that in most cases. If all the estate agents at Bairstow Eves are like Doug, I would definitely recommend it.

A brilliant team at Burnham-on-Crouch office. Warm, friendly and extremely helpful.
The property was sold very quickly but a few complications with the chain put the Manager Maxine to the test.
Her determination and grit to get this deal finalised against all the problems and stress that she was up against did not deter her. She remained confident that the deal was going to succeed. Without her support we would have given up.
