Did not want to negotiate on price of fees, which by the way exceeded 2%. Did not want to negotiate on the vat did not want to even listen to me at all. Then this so called lady became very rude huffing and puffing directly at me which by then I told her to leave followed by a herl of abuse. I was left steaming by this young 20 odd year and a bitter taste in my mouth towards DOUGLAS ALLEN OF CHINGFORD MOUNT.

David Millar was particularly helpful, accompanied the buyer to the house to view, dealt with negotiation professionally. One good thing we liked was being kept informed of the negotiations, what happened next etc etc.
Phoning the office was excellent, everyone (Glen, James, David, Greg and Chelsey) was friendly and helpful. I must add they produced such a beautiful brochure to advertise the property which we felt contributed to positive outcome.

Glen came round and valued my home and was very honest about price and what he felt I needed to be marketed at to sell. That same day James came to my flat with the same buyer Greg talked about the day before, sure enough by 6pm that day my flat was sold for the full asking price.

The sale was not as smooth as I may have liked with house I was buying up the chain however James and Chelsea worked hard to make it work for me.
Overall friendly down to earth staff who are willing to help and go above and beyond to make sure I could move.

Well done Douglas allen, very happy with the service and and have now bought my perfect home. I had been looking for a property for about 6 weeks in chingford and thought would never find a property as i always seem to miss out on properties advertised on rightmove. I am a first time buyer and spoke to David in the chingford branch who told me I need to get myself in a better position and get legally prepared with solicitors and a Agreement in principle in place from my broker. I signed up with solicitors in chingford he recommended which cost me £100 (which was refundable if i didn't find a property) and was then put on chingfords buyer of choice scheme. This was the best thing I did and wish I knew about this earlier, as now I was taken more seriously and was shown properties first and some where not on rightmove. Within 2 weeks I found a property and can't thank the team enough, well done!! Would use again.

I was looking to sell my home and move to west Essex . I was looking through Douglas Allen in Epping, Loughton and chigwell I found them to very good and really sharp agents. So picking an agent was to sell was between Douglas Allen or Churchills. After meeting Glen Conn branch manager we were really surprised by his really positive approach to selling our home, given two agents said the property was only worth £340,000. He really gave us confidence to sell our home at higher price and with Douglas Allen. I'm over the moon that glen thought team could sell the property at £370,000. They arranged for photography to take great photos which made home look fantastic and really saleable. We had a open day arranged by glen , which Greg and David sale's team took time an effort in taking real time showing our home to 12 viewers. We archived 3 offers which exceeded our expectation and achieved asking price. We really thought the service was excellent and we achieved dream move . The best thing about our move was we £30,000 better off and we felt although Douglas commission was higher than competitors they was worth every penny. We'll done Douglas Allen.

Initial meeting with the Manager Glen, very informative, brochure recieved, advised on how our property would be marketed and how they aimed to get us the best price for our house, very fast getting photo's done, many viewings both individual and block open days. We are looked after very well and kept upto date with any activity regarding our sale and our purchase which is out of area. I must also mention Claire Thompson branch secretary, and Chelsey Baldwin sales progressor who have been equally as helpful. We have had contact via all the mediums but the best one has to be face to face, the entire team is friendly and welcoming, always making time for us however big or small the enquiery or update. At a time of potentially rising stress levels the Chingford Team have taken all that away for us and helped make selling our home relatively stress free I have no hesitation in recommending them to others and feel they should get some sort of recommendation from yourselves for their commitment and enthusiasm to customer care.
