A shocking company with a history of cynically exploiting tenants and ignoring tribunal findings. After a long battle we took over the lease ourselves and would strongly recommend you do the same. They have a web of related companies who charge but don't do any work. It's unbelievable that they are allowed to carry on like this.

Apr 15, 2019Dear all Since posting this comment I have had quite a few teary phone calls and emails from people all over the country grappling with same problems (patently false billings, solictors' calls ignored, bullying). Havoc and misery is being created across the country. Since I am no longer in a contractual relationship with Morelands - a very happy position - I don't really want to get involved more and I strongly urge someone to step forward to act as a coordinator, perhaps produce a dossier and then go to the relevant government department.Many people have alredy spoken to their MPs and others locally. It simply cannot be acceptable that such rogue behaviour, even when established many times in courts and tribunals, is allowed to continue for years on end. I would be happy to provide evidence of our experience as part of this dossier but otherwise cannot get involved. My advice meanwhile would be to try to escape from the relationship, though this does not solve the problem for others.

Jul 9, 2019I too have been bullied and harassed by these so called management agents. I have been advised that they have been struck off twice and was even on TV for their bad behaviour. Cannot believe they continue to get away with this and in fact we have decided to take legal action against them. Please bare in mind the the Landlords are equally to blame as they knowingly select these type of agents. I suggest you take action against them too for the stress they cause tenants/leaseholders . I am happy to join forces or share my experiences with anyone in same situation. I will even attend court if needed. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

Jan 16, 2020Myself and 6 fellow leaseholders of a property in Bradford are suffering the same problems as everybody else seems to with Moreland. I am about to get involved in some litigation with them. I note Iain mentioned taking over the lease from them! I would appreciate whatever information anybody can provide on how to achieved this and what needs to be done to be successful. We Bradford leaseholders have discussed doing this but it would be useful to get a heads-up from someone who has achieved it. Do anyone also know if there is anywhere which lists all the actions that have been taken against Moreland either in the courts or by tribunals?

There is not sufficient space to write about their illegal practicises, yet the Court seems to give them reasons above the tenants,... It is really raising questions of the whole leasehold system.

They/landlord owe me about £2,800 from small claims court.

My perception (like several other reviews here) is that Moreland are running a scam because I can't see any evidence of service provided for the service charges I pay. It's a struggle to get them to perform the most basic of maintenance, for example fixing the front door. I first advised them of the issue in July 2016 and it wasn't resolved until August 2019 when I threatened to stop paying the service charge because I had no other recourse. I would also be interested in finding a way to remove these people as the block management company.

They do not contact the leaseholder before increasing service charges, do not provide transparent accounts and have recently been taking additional money out of my account for no apparent reason. They also tried to take me to court, and then backed down because they'd made a mistake. And finally, they've allowed my flat to flood by not carrying out proper servicing of the gutters. Abysmal service. I've had to cancel my standing order with them because they are not to be trusted. I will pay them by monthly transfer instead once they have paid back the 500 odd pounds they have 'accidentally' taken from my account.
