We moved into a property everything went well at the start all paperwork completed deposit handed over, called them back a few months later to find out this franchise is no longer trading, manager to speak to a director mark Fieldhouse who advised the company that was trading as them have shut down, we were unaware and they are holding are deposit so we thought! Called up tenancy deposit scheme and deposit was registered by white kite Ltd the parent company, however white kite take no responsibility as they say they have never had the funds it was the franchise company who isn't part of them, the director of franchise mark then emailed me to say deposit was sent to our landlord over 12 months ago, landlord was unaware of this and now TDS face getting involved to try and sort this out for a reputable company an official handover should have been done tenants and landlords not kept up to date and now I've recieved another email from the director who says he will write to the landlord to inform him our deposit was sent to him over 12 months ago and he now needs to register it!!!! The branches refuse to help and say they have no managers there and can't even transfer call the most unhelpful company stay clear of them avoid at all costs and go to a proper estate agents that will do the job properly it has cost us hours to sort out speaking to that many different people and we are still not sure if we will get our deposit back!
