Victor, Charles and the sales team found a buyer within a week of putting property on the market.Although the process had its challenges,they helped to make it a smooth transition.I recommended Townends thornton heath to my sister, who was about to sell her property.All said and done she has just moved into her new house after Townends found her a Cash buyer.. Did i mention that i was initially with PurpleBricks and was 1,200 pounds out of pocket and poor service and no viewings..

If I could leave 0 I would. The type of agency who will bully and trick you for money. They recently forced a tenant out a property unfairly then proceeded to mock them for being scared of homelessness. They also overcharge landlords/ charge them wrongfully. Not to be trusted. Under no circumstances let Towenends manage your property. They are by far the worst I've ever worked with. We purchased a property through these guys in early 2016 and in each of maybe 30 phonecalls, we were told that the paperwork is being sent over "right now", "this morning", or "first thing tomorrow", which it very rarely was. They are great at talking, but not a lot else. Avoid at all costs.

Another note, the "featured reviews" on this site need paying for. I am sceptical they are real people, because why would anyone other than a company pay to have their review seen? And all of them are 5 stars. And half of them were posted ON THE SAME DAY.
(David, the mortgage advisor, was admittedly fantastic).

I had 3 estate different agents around to value my house, asked similar questions and the responses I got from Victor was the reason I chose Townends (& the reviews on this site). I only had to chase him on one issue but outside that, if he said he was going to do it, he did. I had less dealings with Shukeena, but she took the pictures & conducted the viewings and was very tactful & understanding of my situation. I have no overall complaint of Townends really, I'm still going through the last stages of completing my sale and the sales progression team seems to be doing all they can to get this wrapped up before Christmas.

Very polite, very friendly, very professional. When it was the time to put an offer in the competitive market of 2014 they communicated several offers between the vendor and the potential buyers very professionally, and I was lucky to have my offer accepted. As always the buying process was a long journey to go through the mortgage and legal requirements which due to my request for more information it took even longer. But they was very helpful, understanding and patient throughout this prolong process, and took a very professional approach in keeping them informed. I would definitely recommend them without hesitation and would use them again.

I originally spoke with Nigel in Sales regards a valuation of an investment property I bought for refurbishment last October.
All was good with his polished pitch and promises of calling me in the new year (2015) nearer to the completion of the renovation.
I was happy with the service thus far.
Unfortunately I didn't hear from him nor anyone from the branch regards marketing the property in January. So I called no less than 3 times and remember speaking to Darren who assured me Nigel would call me. I've now placed it with Housesimple and ironically received s call last week from Darren at the branch asking me if I was looking to sell my property, as if it was the first time we had spoken. I told him I've already placed it on the market and said I would never consider using Townends services again as it was just the worst experience ever! Poor customer service! Amazingly Townends are not part of the 'transparency' scheme! I wonder why???
