Absolutely dreadful dreadful estate agents. We viewed a number of properties and applied to rent £700 2 bedrooms apartment and then at the last minute it fell through. All checks completed and satisfactory. So as to not waste time again complete if the referencing process applied for a second property of £825 3 bedroomed house. Extra deposit and 1st months rent paid in full. The day before collection of keys 'Belinda' rang to say the house had been sold!!! At no point had this been disclosed that the house was even up for sale. Barbers you are a compete joke and unprofessional to say the very least. Although you sent a very apologetic email and refunded all the money including admin costs, it was hilarious that you also mentioned you considered yourselves 'professional'!!! Professional liars? Then yes maybe. The whole process has been a waste of our 'professional' time. Fortunately we have found a very genuine and honest estate agent and secured a property with no further problems.

Such a bad experience with this estate agents, I've already issued a complaint today as hannah shaw thinks its okay to do a first come first serve basis rule on buying a house when all five buyers interested was treated unfairly. Hannah Shaw by far needs a disciplinary amd further training as she will loose buyers and will upset paying clients who trust these agents. Never again

Living in the USA it was very difficult for me to find an agent I could trust with my property sale in Telford but I didn’t have to worry at all, they gave me daily updates on viewings and their follow up calls & all other matters relating to the property. I really cannot recommend them enough and would definitely use their services in the future. They are the BEST In Telford.

Left me in a dusty, cat hair ridden property with stains, ill fitted carpets and curtains, worst bathroom I've ever known... no repairs or cleaning done upon request. I was evicted for the landlord to repossess the prospety after 6 months (funnily enough it was exactly 3 months, to the DAY, so that it was legal) and held my deposit claiming I'd shrunk the curtains and stolen a shelf from a cupboard and several other things, including the things if flagged up several times since the day I moved in.
When I challenged their decision all of my arguments and points were responded to with 'not relevant'.
I'll never go with them again, the over priced,****I'd recommend you don't either

I would not recommend Barbers Estate & Letting agents in Wellington. They dilute the communication between vendors and purchasers, and are generally poor with other communication. This is regards to a house purchase that fell through due to being misled on the water supply (it was a private supply and not mains supplied as they stated). An agent of their length of service and standing should be better than other newer local agents but I was very disappointed with their service. My partner is also still waiting for a call back from them from 6 weeks ago regarding letting their property out. They have since gone to Nick Tarts who are spot on with everything.

What agent could do to change your mind?
For the monthly rental fee, then I expect Barbers to pay more attention to the inspections in the property because there are some issues that should have been addressed before the disappearance of the tenant. The search fees for finding a new tenant on first glance seem high and it would be nice if there was some kind of loyalty incentive for landlords to stay after the first tenant, however the service and reactivity and professionalism is high, so you do get a good service for the money

Fees are acceptable: its easy money if the first viewer says I will rent the property, but if it takes 20 viewings and several reference checks, then it probably good value.
