ur experience with foxtons has been nothing short of stressful, agonising and downright frustrating! Our property manager would constantly ignore our emails. We asked for the gas safety certificate multiple times as this is a requirement and we also asked for the inventory TWICE and never received it. When we moved in our dishwasher was broken and this was tripping the electricity for the whole flat which could have been extremely dangerous, and yet, it took many many chaser emails and 3 months for foxtons to do anything about it. We told foxtons of a leaking tap in the bathroom, and were told they'd get back to us, which, no surprise, they never did. Moving out of the flat was incredibly stressful when this should have been an easy process. We found a replacement for ourselves and told foxtons and then never heard anything regarding whether he had been accepted, if he had signed tenancy agreements, anything. We chased multiple times and were blatantly ignored. When I finally spoke to her she told me I needed to speak to the manager. I was given his email and I emailed him twice, and he ignored it. I called him multiple times and when I finally got through he said "it's all sorted". Why I needed to go through all this stress and waiting a week to speak to him just to tell me that I have NO IDEA. They then completely breached the law in taking almost a month to return our deposit. We never received a deposit protection certificate, and when I told the property manager this he said something along the lines of "I'm confident you would have received it" - when he had sent us a copy... That had not been signed by us... Or foxtons. We had never seen one before. I could not be more happy to be out of our tenancy with foxtons and there is absolutely no way I would go near them again. Their service is absolutely terrible and they don't care about the tenants at all.

Avoid using Foxtons at all costs. They make an incredibly hard sell but the property management is non existant. From the moment I moved in, the flat had numerous issues including damp walls and broken appliances. None of which were then fixed for months. During my tenancy numerous other appliances then broke (as they hadn’t been replaced for years) and I have now been left in a flat without a working oven. I had to formally report Foxtons to the council and only when charged with a formal notice have they started to take any action. It is absolutely diabolical after paying a huge amount of rent that the property cannot be properly maintained. They refused to negotiate a rental reduction due to not having a working oven (or heating at points) and goes to show the level of selfishness exhibited by Foxtons as a company who only care about profits and not at all about renter experience. I am now waiting for the council to issue a formal notice to them and will be taking legal action if needs be. There are a lot of scam landlords and agencies in London but Foxtons is the worst I have come across yet. Not worth getting involved with them at all.

Tamas Nagy is an amazing and selfless agent from Foxtons, Battersea Branch.
I'm from Singapore and was looking to find a rental property in London for a family. Tamas quickly understood my requirements and recommended the properties that were the closest fits. As we were not able to physically view the properties, Tamas personally went down to the properties to let us virtually view them through a WhatsApp call. He took the time to walk us through the property and to answer all our queries. As we were also new to the rental market, Tamas went the extra mile to explain to us what the steps were and what to expect at each step of the way.
Time and time again, Tamas went the extra mile to make me feel comfortable and assured me that he had my interests in mind. He was not a pushy lettings agent, and did not oversell the properties that he was recommending.
Although I eventually decided not to go with a Foxtons' properties, this was not by any fault of Tamas, but simply that the properties available did not match my requirements.
Overall, I had a 5-star experience working with Tamas.

Foxtons entered our home without our permission on multiple occasions, leaving the front door unlocked several times, once leaving urine spillage. Damaged pieces of furniture fell onto residents in the middle of the night. Multiple breaches of contract. An extremely dangerous company - beware!

We rented a property through Foxton last year and it has been the worst experience.
Our main contact at Foxtons completely oversold the property to us and by the time we realised, we had already signed the contract. Please don't make the same mistake with trusting these people. We waited months for new carpets and paint to be done to the property and many things were left unfixed, which were all promised at the start.
The whole team in battersea were unresponsive and unhelpful throughtout our whole tenancy and it required us to constantly chase up on them before any solutions were given to us.
For such a large corporation they really need to work on their level of customer service. As a result, we will never go through them again. Shop wisely as there are definitely better service providers out there.

Our tenancy has been managed by Foxtons for eight months and the only time we have been impressed by their service was when we were liaising with the sales team. After signing for the property we were passed along to the unhelpful, incommunicable and uncharismatic Konrad.
Our first issue to be handled by our elusive Property Manager was the malfunctioning shower. We were forced to endure weeks of subjecting ourselves to ice cold or boiling hot temperatures before Konrad made any arrangements for the shower to be replaced despite numerous unsuccessful complaints. Konrad only agreed to take measures towards fixing the shower after suggesting we "just got used to" being alternately scalded or frozen. The next problem was with a number of leaks from the property above which had resulted in unsightly and property depreciating damage. This particular issue took 4 months to address. We then had to wait three months for our boiler to be replaced, our only good fortune was that these months were July, August and September when the evenings weren't quite as bitter.
A recent change in the names on the contract, once more, proved to be an arduous task for Konrad. After filing all of the necessary paperwork and assuming it had been received by the office, we were taken aback when the previous tenant contacted us notifying us that Konrad had phoned him to tell him he had never received the new contract. The previous tenant told Konrad that he no longer lived in the property and the issue would be better handled by one of us, the current tenants. We are still awaiting Konrad's phone call. Being forced to take the matter into our own hands, we contacted Konrad to ask if, indeed, he hadn't received the new contract. He confirmed that was the case in his usual discourteous and dismal tone. It was only when confronted with the request to speak to the Office Manager that he displayed any kind of adequacy.
It has been Konrad's insolence and total disrespect for us as tenants that has been most galling throughout these months. Tread carefully when considering a Foxtons managed property in the Battersea area.

He could have been more understanding of the tenant\'s priorities. He was clearly driven by landlord fees and interests.

Katie dealt with the tricky purchase with great professionalism and understanding. She kept the lines of communication open throughout and must have spend hours relaying emails and phone calls to between the seller and us.
