Slow as f*ck to get anything fixed round the house. Hire useless contractors to “repair things”
Boiler was broken for a month last November before they fixed it. We had to ask them to get electric heaters in the mean time.
Douglas and Gordon in Balham were much better before Foxtons took over them.
So slow in replying to emails and sorting change of tenancies and make up bullsh*t fees in the change of tenancy process.

Avoid Foxtons Balham at all costs and do no dealings with their Lettings manager*. They do not care about their tenants. Their presentation is a facade for gross incompetency. At the end of our tenancy their incompetence was made apparent to us. They organised for new tenants to move in BEFORE our move out date, did not apologise and essentially gave us no option but to move out with two days notice, forcing us to cancel work resulting in loss of earnings and severe stress. They never apologised, offered to cancel the inventory fee as a gesture of goodwill, however upon eventually receiving our deposit the fee was deducted. They made up an excuse that they would send the refund separately. We never received this refund and they stopped replying to us. Incompetence seems to be systemic within Foxtons and it appears to be a business strategy. I would advise all prospective tenants to avoid this company.

This agent came and valued my property 20% higher than other agents I called (40k more), and I had 5 other agents come who all were valuing it within a �5k margin of error. But Foxtons reassuered me they could achieve a much higher price than the other agents so I gave them sole agency. I later realised it was just a ploy to get my business.

They made no attempt at bringing me anyone to view the flat, and then when 3 months had passed, they asked me to reduce the price to the same price the other agents had valued it. In the meantime the prices in that area went down so I achieved a lower price than the other agents had told me they could get. It took me 7 months to sell because of Foxtons.

I received a feedback request after using Foxtons to arrange to rent a property. I couldn't leave a comment but wanted to comment on my recent experience at the Balham Foxtons, and Beatrice Kirchner. Beattie arranged for me to see 4 houses in 1 hour - all of them met my spec exactly (unlike other agencies). Through this I proceeded to rent a property, and Beattie was so proactive in sorting out the tenancy and references etc. She was always chasing, and making sure I'd undertaken actions required, and replying very quickly when I'd done something wrong! Initially I was very hesitant to use Foxtons - I felt the cost wasn't justified. However, I found the fee to be good value considering the brilliant service I received. As a result, I think it took 4 working days to get on the property! This completely changed my opinion of the company.

I first met James when he valued my property in 2012, ever since he rang me every couple of months or so to discuss the market and my situation. I knew then that he would do his upmost to sell my property. When we decided to go with Foxtons both Chris and James were incredibly professional, helpful and very responsive to phone calls and queries. They found us a buyer and kept him keen when he was starting to get cold feet as the process dragged on. I very much wanted to let you know what a total pleasure it has been having Chris Pearson as negotiator for the flat I have just bought through you. The sale was complicated, long and drawn out, and he has never missed a beat in keeping me and the vendor informed immediately at all times of all that was going on, having a quick and thorough grasp of the issues involved, staying in contact with solicitors etc. His manner is unfailingly pleasant, cheerful and friendly, he always returns calls at the first possible opportunity and I really could not have been more impressed. My solicitors have said the same about him.

Chris was always professional, courteous and kind despite some trying situations with solicitors, and just as importantly he always gave us useful advice and kept us informed of the latest developments in our sale - something that many other agencies don't seem to do.

I would definitely be recommending to you to friends/friends that are thinking of selling and buying. It was a pleasure doing business with them. Our sales valuer Anthony, who gave us lots of info about schools and house prices, was also brilliant when we dealt with him earlier on in the sale

To begin with, we have to admit we were a bit sceptical using Foxtons due to the higher cost, but the fact they were able to secure a number of viewings and sale in 1 week was very impressive.

Throughout from the initial valuation, the appointments and then negotiation of the sale we have been very pleased with the service.

We have always felt that we have been kept up to date and informed, and our dealings with Foxtons have always been very professional. We'd be happy to recommend them.

I have to say I was impressed with the level of service and unfortunately I ended up not letting the property with them, what would've been fair. I've had a couple of viewings with Mr Robert who was very friendly and helpful. I expressed interest on a property from their website which was actually with Balham office but he managed to take us there himself for a viewing and passed the case to his colleague in Balham office. They also didn't offer any rubbish (different from other agencies). I'd strongly reccommend.

An old boyfriend of mine rented a flat under a company tenancy. Leaks in every room, after under a year he walked out - leaving rent unpaid because they'd never fulfilled their obligations to him as a tenant. More people should do this - just communicate your complaints in writing (pref email and ask for "read receipt" so you have evidence), take photos, get the neighbors around so you have evidence. Preferably, just never use them - too much negative publicity so you should know better!

After sale fell through with previous agent who then seemed to loose interest in selling my flat, Foxtons came in and sold it in under 10 days for 10 grand more.

They were expensive, but since they got me more money I came out on top.
