Purple frog was the worst letting agency I have ever come across. We had pre-agreed terms prior to moving into our property. Upon moving in, none of the agreements were met. After constant contacting purple frog to deal with this they either “forgot” or they didn't bother taking it further. The situation got so bad that I went to the local council to speak to someone who deals with property and landlord issues. I was then advise that myself and my two housemates were able to walk from the contract. To which I then told purple frog and the staff member I dealt with that day tried Feeding me loads of excuses. After all that easy sorted... months later. We then moved out of the property and changed letting agencies. We then struggled to get back out DEPOSIT at the the nd of the term, taking 4 months, which left myself and myhosue mates barely making rent for the new house. After them trying to charge us for issues that the house had prior to moving in, telling us the landlord agreed to that. We then contacted the landlord ourselves and he denied this and gave us a verbal confirmation which we then recorded. Once we threatened legal action and gave them the recording we finally got the money back. DONT EVER USE PURPLE FROG.

Dear Ashley My apologies that you had problems with your tenancy. I can see that you did have maintenance problems when you first moved in and that promises made to you weren't kept. Unfortunately, it seems the landlord was telling you one thing and then telling us something else. I am glad to see that you got your deposit back in full, sorry that it took four months for it to happen. We are no longer working with the landlord of that particular property, as they have not been honest with you or us. I realise that this doesn't make up for the problems you had during your tenancy. I am also not happy sending you a response that blames someone else for your experiences. Where we have made mistakes, we do own up to them and try to make them right. Sorry that it took heart ache on your part to highlight issues with the property and the conduct of the owner. In regards to the start of our tenancy I met with a number of law advisors, who advised us to walk away from the contract at the beginning of our tenancy and that we were completely free and able to do so. Upon trying to tell your staff that, he lied in my face and tried talking to me like I'm a dumb student. I understand you have a lot to deal with however.. I think as a company treating students as adults might be a better way to start. From the beginning and we aren't the only ones who feel this way.. you take full advantage of most of us being young and naive. And with deposits We've been told we weren't the only ones struggling to get it from you this year. In terms of you saying you let the landlord go because he caused so many issues. I can tell you straight that's not true Purple frog did viewings for our landlord prior to us moving out.

WORSE letting agents! Purple Frog will do nothing to maintain your property and will steal deposits from tenants. Avoid at all costs! Awful agency, take your money and don't care about the service. Absolutely terrible company. I can't stress enough how bad and rude they are. Save your money and do NOT go to this place. Literally the worst letting agency company I have came across, dealt with the Nottingham branch and the staff was beyond incompetent to say the least, on several occasions they would randomly add hundreds to the amount that was meant to be paid - luckily we caught on early and started making notes... Honestly wouldn’t even rate this company 1 star. Their service is awful and for them to say that they care about their tenants is a massive exaggeration to say the least.
