Amazing is all i can say about teresa. since our children came back to Malaysia, we have been leasing our flat in lexham gardens through benham and reeves kensington office and I can honestly say it has been such a great peace of mind to know that teresa is always on hand to respond to queries, ensuring tenants pay on time and look after my beautiful property. teresa is truly amazing as she works almost as hard as we do in Asia with responses the same day. nothing is ever too much trouble

Benham and Reeves took all the pain and stress out of finding our new home and I can't thank Fay enough for holding our hand through the process. My wife and I were quite particular about our requirements but Fay understood and only showed us properties that met our requirements. It wasn't long before we found something that was perfect for us. We had quite a few requirements and whilst we didn't get everything we would have liked Fay handled the negotiations professionally and we came to an agreement we felt was fair. After that everything was very smooth, and I was particularly impressed that was able to sign all the paperwork from my ipad at the airport. I would highly recommend anyone looking to rent something in the Kensington are to get in touch with Fay.

For instance they charge you inventory on the way out and way in. Which means that they pocket the way in charge as the previous tenant who has left will pay for the check in inventory. Also they have the audacity to charge £25 administration fee to return the deposit via BACS, which is a free banking service.

This letting agency is by far the worst I have ever dealt with. They should be reported to trading standards for the excessive charges that they place on letting the property. They are unresponsive, slow and only contact you when it's to do with claiming money or reminding you that the monthly rent is due.
We had a leak in April and we are due to vacate the property in September and they have made no attempt in that time to repair the ceiling, remove the mould, and redecorate. But i'm sure this will be done to give a good impression for the new tenant.
They have entered the property without our permission on many occasion, especially with regards to property viewings, yet our tenancy agreement which we paid an extortionate amount for has not be adhered to. Especially as it states 24hr notice should be given for all viewings.
They are money hungry and have no sense of client service, they take months to respond to requests for repairs and generally are just a shoddy agent.
When letting from the agent, please read the small print and do not hand over that deposit money until they have outlined all the fees included!!!!

They call and bombard you with emails when they want something like a viewing etc. but when you try to contact them its nothing but pain especially their vacation and deposit admin, William Clark. Purposefully ignores emails which majorly delayed the return of the deposit and rent refund (paid rent up front) which is stressful to say the least. Having managed to get hold of someone and some correspondence but rent refund calculated such that they pay you less (taking advantage of differing amount of days in a month) and gives no explanation as to why that method is used apart from 'thats how we do it'. Been over a month since leaving and still no sign of deposit being returned, even landlord is chasing them up but not heard anything.
Absolutely terrible, doing all this chasing up is wasting my time and money. Avoid at all costs if you are going to rent, can't comment on buying/selling. Better off finding a different house with different agent. Cannot comprehend why they are seemingly so successful. Perhaps they keep hold of the money in order to profit or hope that tenants don't dispute since it takes so much time.

As an overseas expat, now living in Hong Kong, I cannot recommend Benham and Reeves enough - everything is always dealt with so quickly, efficiently and accurately. Being so far away it is vital having someone I can rely on who I know will only have my best interests at heart. Fay found me my last 2 tenants and communication was excellent. I have to quickly mention Teresa is fantastic too – she has been looking after me for the last 14 years and I have never had an issue
