Terrible experience. As a landlord I paid them to manage a property. Over two years there have been several problems including them trying to sell me services I 'legally required' (I didn't). They subsequently failed to send me the leaving survey when the tenant left and I had to chase it for 2 weeks. Turned out there was damage from pets (specifically not allowed in my contract) and the place needed to be treated for fleas so was unrentable. I was passed on to numerous people but they did not communicate at all or get cleaning done for weeks on end and have totally failed to follow up on my complaint despite frequent requests. I have since sent a mail to their CEO Alison Platt (ceo@countrywide.co.uk) and I doubt I will hear anything from her either. Unless you like being treated with contempt, don't go to them. Get a different agent or manage it yourself, it's just time and money down the drain

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
