I have lived in a few different properties with different agencies but Edward mellor has been the best by a mile. I had been let down and treated with no respect by so many big name companies but this time was completely different. Chelsea Percival was our property manager and nothing was ever too much hassle for her. Being a tenant can be degrading sometimes but chelsea never made us feel small. She knew how important issues were to us even if they seemed small. She related to us and helped us with anything we needed. Being so easy to talk to and having excellent communication skills is a god send as lord or agencies take days to reply to your issues. I would recommend Edward mellor to anyone know and that's all because of the way we were treated by Chelsea. Thankyou!

The maintenance man said he will order new one but that was beginning of January????When spoke with agency staff they didn't know anything about it. I am a prospective buyer and I wanted to view one of the properties that Edward Mellor were selling in Manchester. I tried to call about 5 times a day for about 3 days to arrange a viewing but constantly got a voicemail saying their agents were with other clients. I left numerous messages for a call back. I eventually used their website's live chat facility when i realised it was there (not advised on teh voicemail message) and managed to speak to an agent through my computer. They advised that the vendor will only do viewings with an agent present. That was fine except they only work until 6pm and so do I, so could only view on a weekend so I requested the next weekend. The lady on webchat said they would check with the vendor my requested time and confirm. An agent rang me back about 2 hrs later to say their weekend viewings were booked up for a couple of weeks so i said I would have to contact them again to confirm another time when i knew when i was free. Again, tried to phone and no call back to voicemails left so resorted to webchat again. Just seems like a really long winded way to do everything impossible to book a viewing! I would definitely not sell my house with them!

What agent could do to change your mind?
Returning calls and keeping the vendor updated is surely just a standard practice, even if it\'s to say no news, not to mention polite. After all, you want me to pay you for a service that I wasn\'t receiving.

I instructed Edward Mellor as Sole Agents for my property. The service was diabolical. They sent people around who didn't have the money to buy the property and there were only 3 viewings in five months. Phone calls to the branch weren't returned and when I gave them the notice required, they insisted on taking the notice to the last second, despite not having had any interest whatsoever in the property although I was told that a Mr S**** was interested and was "getting back to them" for a viewing. Needless to say I never heard from them about this potential viewer nor was a viewing booked, I don't understand how I can make repeated phone calls to the office and leave messages and yet, my calls were never returned. When I asked for statistics such as how many people had viewed the property on Rightmove, I was constantly told that "the system is down" and they can't check. The 3 potential viewers we had were supposed to be accompanied visits but only one was accompanied. One viewer brought his elderly mother with him and she got down on her knees to beg me to sell the house to her son for a reduced price of £40000. Not what you expect when selling your house and exactly why I wanted accompanied viewings. I would never again use Edward Mellor for either selling, buying or letting. What a complete joke.
