Please heed what this and all the other reviewers are saying. These are Cowboys and nasty ones at that. As tenants we were given 2 addenda to the Tenancy Agreement by this company which they claimed to be legally binding and had to be signed by the lead tenant on the 2nd day of our tenancy. Failure to sign meant the end of the tenancy, so we signed as 'received'. We had to take the landlord to court after he used the 2 documents to justify the withholding of part of our deposit. The judge rubbished the documents, and we left with the great majority of our deposit and all costs awarded to us. Platinum assisted the landlord greatly with their collusion and lies. There are plenty of other agents out there, give this one a wide berth. You have been warned.

Awful estate agents. Made many false accusations. Had monthly inspections but they still would come randomly without any warning as they had mixed up dates from their end. Terrible organisation, constantly having to repeat ourselves in emails. Good luck getting your deposit back. Avoid these guys... Read Full Review

Never ever choose Platinum. They take weeks to sort out any maintenance issues, to answer emails, the phone, to call you back. Not only will it take months, you won't be able to get hold of them to find out what's taking so long. The staff are rude and unhelpful and are only interested in one thing, taking your money.

If you're a student then you've got no chance of them taking you seriously or treating you like an adult.
Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere to save yourself months of stress and hassle.
Be careful with your tenancy agreement and read through the whole thing paying close attention to the different ways in which they can take your money, some things are worded so you wouldn't realise on a skim read.

Been honest, returned emails or phone calls, been consistent.

They also dragged out the deposit over four or so months. Avoid this firm at all costs.
DPS & Arbitration found that they had over-claimed by hundreds of pounds and basically halved everything as a compromise. The report said that they were overcharging, claiming for work not done, not providing bills and had also made false claims about paperwork. These guys are to be avoided. When asked to prove that they had recorded all of these claims on inspection reports they said we do not have to. If you do rent from them take your own photos of the house and demand that they take photos during any inspection.

This agency did nothing for me as a landlord.
When the tenancy ended they returned the tenant's deposit in fill , less £29 for locks i had to replace as keys were not returned.
Platinum completely ignored the fact that multiple tenants had occupied the house in spite of my saying that this was not to happen.
They would not address several things i was unhappy about, with the tenants, and treated me with indifference and rudeness.
I would NEVER use them again nor would I ever recommend them to anyone as a property management agent.
