My wife and I purchased a flat in the Whitehouse Apartments complex in 1999, and iit was let out to tenants throughout the period of ownership until we sold the flat recently in 2023.
Since the complex is very big, and run by many members of staff it can sometimes be difficult to know or locate the person to contact in case of any problems or queries. Ralph Rampersaud, who has been with Life Residential throughout our period of ownership has been of immense help to us, and very quickly became our "go to" person in sorting any problems or queries we have had.
Even in a couple of difficult situations, when some senior staff have been involved in queries, Ralph has easily outshone them, and has helped us to solve problems, and he has demonstrated that nothing is too much trouble for Ralph, as he assists us in a very cool, calm and very efficient manner.
I would recommend anyone to select Ralph to look after their property.

Great experience renting a property with life residential. Life Residential (specifically Matt Herring) provided a very smooth contract signing process. What agent could do to change your mind?
I thought the charge for the \'card fee\' (over £20) was unecessary. An admin fee was already charged (which I understand), but I don\'t think an addiotional card fee can be justified when this is the only option for payment.

This was the biggest nightmare of my 4 years in London. This guys not only came for viewings without giving Any notice whatsoever, they also tried to charge us more than a 1000 pound for check out costs, which was then put down to 300 as we fought back for all illegal and wrong charges. I would come home and clearly see someone was there and they were denying they were coming for viewings. In the end I caught them at time they visited, which was just ridiculous. This guys are property developers and will milk out any pound you have for their benefit. They wouldn't tell us the flat was sold when our contract was over and instead they put us on a rolling contract so we can keep on paying before te move in date of the new owner. We found out the flat was sold through a 3rd party. This doesn't end all the nightmare they put me and my husband through. They also gave incorrect meter reading to SSE for which we are still fighting against after 8 months of finally being out of the flat. They have beautiful looking and relatively cheap flats and that's how they hook people up.

What agent could do to change your mind?
The agent could've been upfront about all this additional items. We were told that they "gave" us the inventory report which was a lie. I requested them for it TWICE specifying that it was for my planning to buy additional material and not to review the sad state of the sofas or any other furniture! They never advised us to go through it. It was a complete shock to me when we moved in, after we signed the contract. After that, all they said was that nothing can be taken out, since it was in the contract. When space is such a premium, it was ridiculous to have chipped plates, wobbly furniture lying around. Extremely unhelpful.

We recently moved from India and we wanted to move in somewhere Central.
We saw the apartment in the Whitehouse Apartments TWICE and both times, the furniture was not in it. We were shown pictures of it and we assumed that it will be in decent shape.
I asked for an inventory report and was given a dated one (more than a year old) specifically for any appliances that I will need to buy. I was NOT asked to review the furniture or additional items.
1. The apartment now has 10 lamps for a small 1 bed flat, multiple pots and pans and an assortment of cups which must've been left by previous tenants.
2. The sofa is torn, worn out and completely unusable. We followed up with them about the furniture, the sofas, the extra materials.
3. They were extremely unhelpful. They said the sofa would be replaced in by May 1st. On following up twice (today is May 11), all we get from the agent is an email saying we are speaking to the owner and will get back to you. This is after they said that the sofa would be delivered by May 1st.
Their front office is rude and unhelpful. They have a good utilities team, which helped with the billing etc., but only on following up.
I am bracing myself for the steep check-out fees that I read about.
Avoid them at all costs and go with a better, more reliable and helpful agent. I have not given any names in this review but I am happy to give more details, if you'd like to contact me.
