We had a terrible experience buying from ward and partners. We found our ideal first home with them, through the 'sale by tender'. This meant that we had to pay the agent fees. 2%+VAT of the property price.
the staff were rude, they never phoned back when they promised they would. Jason- the branch manager was like a stroppy toddler when we told him that we wasnt going to use the solictors he suggested- we assume this was because he wasnt going to get that commission. He wasn't even in 'store' when we picked up our keys.
The Ward and Partners key ring that our key came on, went straight in the bin! Awful awful agents!
What agent could do to change your mind?
They could have phoned back when they said they would. They could have been polite and actually helpful.
Comments on Agent Fees

They could have phoned back when they said they would. They could have been polite and actually helpful.

We purchased a property from Wards and had were ready to exchange. Being based outside the UK we wanted to complete the purchase (to be able to rent out the property). Our main issues were with the solicitors and Demi was extremely helpful in coordinating between the vendor, the vendors solicitors and our solicitors. She took great care in explaining the legal jargon so that we were able to proceed in confidnece. We had arrived in the UK on the Tuesday and completed on the Thursday - maily thanks to the efforts of Demi. Credit is also due to the rest of the staff in the office, who were all helpful and freindly in a rather stressful time!

As a property developer I will never sell a property if the purchaser is using XXXX that's how bad I feel I have been treated it has cost me a lot of money in extra costs as a result of there behaviour.

Been honest and put in some decent effort. Let us know what was going on more often. Found a buyer who could afford our property.

[[EDIT ORIGINAL START]] My husband and I celebrated when our contract with Ward and Partners finally ended. We had four months of grief including potential buyers lifting our bathroom flooring to look underneath. People were showing up five hours early saying they had been told a different time to us. There were many promises that did not materialise, for example, an expected twelve viewers were predicted to attend our open house but only two turned up. We were advertised as having no forward chain when in fact we were buying a house that had a forward chain (Ward knew about this). The initial offer from a potential buyer was ten thousand pounds below our lowest acceptable price and the branch manager was suggesting we accept the offer because of the area we live in. A month later we secured a buyer for fifteen thousand pounds higher. I was given conflicting stories about our buyer's buyer and twice was told that our buyer had lost their buyer. Miraculously when our buyer lost their buyer they found another within hours!!! Needless to say, around two months later we were given a different story about the situation and eventually we were left with a house and no buyer, a house we had bought (offer accepted), and a contract that precluded us from securing another agent. Finally, when our contract with Ward expired we went out for a nice dinner and switched to Your Move. Will keep you posted regarding their performance however, if you find stress aversive I strongly recommend that you do not use Ward and Partners when selling your house. [[EDIT ORIGINAL END]]

My review concerns the excellent service that we received from Sales Progressor Demi Crick. Without Demi's dedication, quick thinking and excellent negotiation skills we certainly would not be at the completion stage today. I have to say that Demi shows maturity beyond her years and has proved herself in my eyes to be totally reliable carrying out every promise she made to me. Also I was impressed with her dedication as I was amazed when she gave me her personal email address for me to contact her on her recent two days off which unfortunately I had to use. Despite being on holiday, she returned my emails immediately and dealt with my queries. Demi also worked late to make sure she kept me updated even ringing me one evening on her personal mobile. As you can see I was really pleased with the service Demi offered us going that extra mile to keep our chain moving. I will be interested to see Demi's career progression as I am sure she has the makings of a future manager.

When Ben first came to our property he was friendly and helpful he was also confident in his opinions and knew his job well which put my mind at ease fom the start. Ben has been Dilligent and hard working throughout the process of selling our property and helped us find a buyer well withing 2 weeks of us listing the house. He has been constantly contactable and if not available returned any call very promtley which I feel is very important in this industry.I have also had great assistance from Emma in the same office, if for whatever reason I have need to call the office, Emma has always been there with an incredible enthusiasm, unwavering positivity and reliability that makes her a pleasure to deal with.
In short I'm glad i had Ben and Emma working with us on the sale of our property, as I feel I have had the best possible service, I feel these 2 are true assets to the Ward and partners team and are in every way invaluble.
