Awful experience, first time in 10 years as a tenant that I came across such behavior. It started bad and has only gotten worse. 2 days before the scheduled turn over of the keys they sent me the certificates to review and sign. I picked up that the electricity certificate stated 'unsatisfactory' or something along these lines for the electrical installation. I brought it to their attention but it was brushed off as 'do not worry it has been checked in the meantime, you are good to go'. I therefore proceeded with my arrangements to move in on the 1 day of my contract. Paid moving company to move and and assemble all furniture and had them booked for 8hrs. Went in the property on the agreed day and time, did the move in checks and just when the agent was ready to hand the keys her phone rang to advise not to hand us the keys because, guess what?, the electrical installation hasn't been checked. From that moment on a race began...They promised they will send an electrician in the next hour and have everything sorted out. In the mean time the van arrives as planned and they start unloading in the garden. Moving company, very nice people said they will wait but only till 5pm which was their contracted time. To cut a long story short the electrician arrived at 4pm the keys were handed to us at 5:30pm after endless phone calls explaining that all my belongings are sitting in a garden exposed to the weather (it had to rain) and all these due to their unprofessional conduct. I had to remind them over and over again that I am paying rent and I have nowhere to go or store my stuff. Needless to say that after this long delay I had to move all my furniture inside and assemble them myself...
Since then I have reported a number of issues with the property, including a leaking faucet (I dread the water bill I'll receive soon) and what looks like an unsafe electrical installation (sparks and all) but according to them these are not urgent fixes...

I've always dealt directly with landlords in previous properties I've rented and this is my first time dealing with property management and its a NO. Any maintenance issues can only be sorted on working days which sucks if you move close to a weekend. I've got no hot water at the flat and I have to contact so many numbers and website logins for an issue that has been going on for now 12 hours and probably wont be sorted until Monday Do not rent with Seymours! Especially when dealing with emergencies outside of office hours (there needs to be a 24/7 team for emergencies)

All the staff are extremely approachable and kept us informed at all times. We hadn't moved for 48 years, so it was quite daunting but they helped us through the process.

This is the worst service we have experienced in Woking. Be aware of your deposit as mine has been deducted when returning the flat, Seymours will put 100% effort to charge you with NO reason, NO receipt and NO evidence at all. Dear all,
Please do not rent through Seymours Woking, you are dealing with children who have no idea about anything. Reported so many faults when we moved in which were declared cosmetic issues (peeling wallpaper, marks on the walls, window panes blown and a bathroom window that didn't open). We had to get housing standards involved because the landlord didn't want to do anything. On checkout first the wrong checkin report was past on and then the landlord wanted to make us pay for all the reported dilapidation. Only because we raised a dispute with the TDS we got our deposit back in full. If you do rent through them keep every photo and email safe.

The worst rental in 15 years. From the beginning to the end of our tenancy, Seymours Woking made it as difficult as possible for us to get urgent repairs made to the flat that we had rented from them. We rented the flat with them knowing that my partner was 8 months pregnant and them wanted a young family to move in, however they ended up risking my son’s health.
When we did get the keys for the flat, we found it to be in appalling condition, which included, a lot of mould, faulty boiler, blocked waste pipe, to name just a few of our issues.
Seymours decided to declare that none of this was urgent and even a burst water pipe wasn’t urgent. I ended up contacting a plumber to get them to fix this myself.
The treatment of Seymours to tenants is completely appalling and I would never rent from them again. They only care that you pay your rent on time. They can’t even manage to send the right check out to your landlord when you leave.
The worst rental company out there!

Then me and Mrs. Was super impressed with his presentation after our case was dealt by Clarissa who was very responsive to every query raised and picked up call whenever required or called back. We would like to Thank you so very much for being patience with us and dealing with every aspect of enquiries we had. I think we called Clarissa more then our lawyer and she got back to us every time. When we first approached them, we were told that we were 2 months too early and told to ring them again next month which we did. Then we were told we were late because the notice period is usually 2 months. This has left us with limited choice and have to make a decision really quick. We have given them all the criteria we are looking for and one of it (we keep on mentioned this) was we might wanna have a small pet in future and they didn't take this into account until the contract process where we inquire about a pet and been told to pay more. We were expecting it has included in the total rent as we have mentioned this on numerous occasions. We also told them our budget and they show lots of property above our budget, they are not great in meeting tenant requirements. We have spoken to multiple Seymours staff throughout our process of looking for a property to rent and Seymours is very bad in handing over tenant profile from one colleague to another, we keep need to repeat stuff and been told lots of wrong information, for example, the white good comes with the property and they were not. As Seymours has monopoly the market we don't have much choice for not to go with them. I hope landlords will start using other agents that are more reliable and trustworthy. Seymours didn't take the let by sign for months and we have to take it down ourself. Seymours has included in the contract for the property to be professionally clean and it is illegal for an agent or landlord to insist tenants use a professional cleaner. We have highlighted this matter however they insisted that we were wrong which led us to contact the Tenancy Deposit Scheme. They finally come back and said we were right and would inform other tenants about this mistake ( We are not sure if other tenants are already being informed). It is very frustrating to deal with a not trustworthy agent, the flat was nice and cosy so we hope the landlord will use a different agent in the future.

Seymours Woking property management division for landlords is appalling. As a property owner I cannot get hold of them. They don't return calls or emails. They ignored my instructions when the tenant changed and took the new tenants instructions instead of mine. They have missed property inspections, inspected the wrong garden and shed, failed to have an emergency repair service available on a bank holiday. They have failed even to act on my instructions to transfer the property management to another agency. The partners and senior management are always "in meetings" and it's impossible to escalate issues up the chain. Never, ever, employ these agents.
