Awful experience, first time in 10 years as a tenant that I came across such behavior. It started bad and has only gotten worse. 2 days before the scheduled turn over of the keys they sent me the certificates to review and sign. I picked up that the electricity certificate stated 'unsatisfactory' or something along these lines for the electrical installation. I brought it to their attention but it was brushed off as 'do not worry it has been checked in the meantime, you are good to go'. I therefore proceeded with my arrangements to move in on the 1 day of my contract. Paid moving company to move and and assemble all furniture and had them booked for 8hrs. Went in the property on the agreed day and time, did the move in checks and just when the agent was ready to hand the keys her phone rang to advise not to hand us the keys because, guess what?, the electrical installation hasn't been checked. From that moment on a race began...They promised they will send an electrician in the next hour and have everything sorted out. In the mean time the van arrives as planned and they start unloading in the garden. Moving company, very nice people said they will wait but only till 5pm which was their contracted time. To cut a long story short the electrician arrived at 4pm the keys were handed to us at 5:30pm after endless phone calls explaining that all my belongings are sitting in a garden exposed to the weather (it had to rain) and all these due to their unprofessional conduct. I had to remind them over and over again that I am paying rent and I have nowhere to go or store my stuff. Needless to say that after this long delay I had to move all my furniture inside and assemble them myself...
Since then I have reported a number of issues with the property, including a leaking faucet (I dread the water bill I'll receive soon) and what looks like an unsafe electrical installation (sparks and all) but according to them these are not urgent fixes...
