Awful service, no organization at all, spoke to the same agent multiple days in a row and they had completely opposing advice and help each time. Had an agreement to sign a new contract all organised until they rang us up and told us that the confirmation email telling us everything was sorted didn't actually confirm anything and they wanted to change all the contract dates, which we are unable to do because of prior commitments.
The team clearly don't communicate with each other or keep records about any conversations that have happened. They also spent several months chasing us for late rent and getting mildly aggressive about it until they realised they actually owed us £400.
Do not use blundells for any reason!

Unprofessional amateurs is the only way I can describe Blundells. In the 6 month tenure of our tenancy, no problems that were reported, we’re fixed. Communication from Blundells was embarrassing. They handed us our eviction notice, followed by a extension to our contract for the same property 2 hours later. When asked why they, blamed their apprentice. They were more concerned about a penny outstanding on the rent than the rodent infestation in the property. Our shower stopped working and their response was “well you don’t need to shower everyday.” We moved out of the property on the 7th April, they quoted it taking 10 days for our landlord to review the condition of the house. On the 17th day, after ringing up, they informed us the landlord still hadn’t signed off. Now on the 6th May, our deposit is being ‘processed’ taking another 5 business days. No apology for the delay or communication. Just excuses and “sorry our office manager is on holiday for 2 weeks,” so we’re unable to check the status of your deposit.”
At no point has Blundells every attempted to apologise for the delay. Overall the company lacks professional and I would strongly advise anybody to go elsewhere when looking to rent. A goldfish would provide better service.
This is the first review I’ve ever given to anything, it astounded me people choose to sell their properties with a company that couldn’t organise a booze-up in a brewery

I experienced excellent service from this Estate Agent, especially Ciara, even though I was not technically the client, but rather the purchaser. The conveyancers that I used, proved to be very slow. In their defence, it was at the time of trying to save some Stamp Duty, so they must have been very busy. I just could not get them to move quckly, but Ciara kept up the pressure and the purchase was done in time, thanks to her. If you want to sell your property, in my experience, you can rely on Blundells to keep things moving as quickly as possible in a friendly and efficient matter. I will use them, when I next want to sell a property!

If I could have left 0 stars I would have!! I rented a student house in Ecclesall road from blundells, big mistake! If you choose to make the same mistake I did you can expect to wait months for any vital repairs (I had no kitchen floor for 3 months), be rented an unsafe flat, never have your calls answered, be lied to by staff and have to take legal action to get your deposit returned. That is so horrible for them to lied. they cheated on me, sofa and one of the bed are broken and they pretend them to be good, the bed had no bottom at all. and they responde nothing about how to arraign ash-bin, there is no ash-bin and we live there for half a month or so! and there is the sink-blocked too,before we move in, we found out and sign on their webpage, they do nothing,it has been more than half month! i cannot believe it ,they lied, they cheat me in unfair ways,and they refuse to do anything they should do after they get the money and treated me to signed the contract. i need a lawer, and we will see if there is a fair situation here in sheffield, because the agent said this is what UK did, i cannot believe UK is like this.

My daughter and her friend rented a property which was bad from start to finish including a massive hole in the cellar...never repaired...numerous problems with the boiler resulting in days of no hot water or heat with the Gas service man saying it should have been condemned as it was leaking and vermin found dead in the kitchen. The place was not clean when they took the keys over with furniture broken and cheap old furniture. Despite numerous calls and promises of resolution very little happened. On leaving I personally cleaned the place leaving it in a much better state than when it was found and they had the audacity to charge for professional cleaning ...shame they hadn't done that when the girls moved in. I would never ever want to deal with these people again

I have had no hot water or heating for 4 weeks. The initial verdict of two companies that came to quote for the work was that the boiler needed replacing as it was leaking 'all over the place' but that they could attempt to repair. Instead it's now had numerous 'repairs' and a month later I'm waiting for the landlord to decide on which company to use to replace. Snow and freezing temperatures outside twice during this period. The agent thought it was reasonable for me to have to go down to the cellar to try to repressurise every couple of hours during this period! The workmen advised against this. I do not pay rent to receive this type of service in 2018!! (Terrible workmanship on other repairs reported with no response, some repairs remain outstanding from last October. And the agent has lost their keys to the property so I have to keep leaving outside or taking time off work to let workmen in - just ridiculous.) This is not quiet enjoyment of the property. I have had to find alternative places to stay during the coldest periods and am still having to go elsewhere for a shower.
What's the point of using an agent if they can't sort these things out? I will try to use OpenRent or Gumtree and rent directly from a landlord in future. The agent adds no value whatsoever to a tenant it seems - just a barrier to the landlord and cost in terms of admin fees.

I have had many successful experiences with OTHER estate agents, but these were actually a joke, ridiculous fees, awful customer service, just genuinely a disgrace. People question why estate agents get such a bad view from society because of the lies they tell just to get your money, way to fit a stereotype. I would rather build a shed and live on the ice pole in isolation that deal with the most awful company and people of blundells. I find it unbelievable how such an awful company, with clearly awful views, has such a massive market share in Sheffield. Vile, vile company with vile, vile staff. Congratulations on making peoples lives worst.

Quite amazingly while we were viewing, we were informed by the vendor that someone had offered asking and they had agreed. No further discussion or negotiation to be had. Ok I thought I will discuss with Blundells as I also wished to offer asking - in fact I was keen to offer more if required. Spoke to the agent who simply pushed me back - no no no all agreed and the vendor does not want to know! Quite amazing that the very old couple selling were not interested in even hearing of our 10k+ offer? Don't they have a duty to share further offers? Sadly I was left pulling my hair out and I feel sorry for the vendors who missed out. Friends of Blundels got a great property.

Terrible experience: stressful and I lost money. Also a data protection breach. I lined up a rental property with Blundells, paid the good faith fee on 4th April and was assured I could move in on Tuesday 18th April. On Thursday 13th April (just before the bank holidays on Friday 14th and Monday 17th April) I was told the property was no longer available. I had already arranged the removal company to move me to Sheffield from North Wales and childcare for my 10-month baby. I'd also packed up my house - all as a single mum. I frantically drove from North Wales to Sheffield on Saturday 15th and lined up another rental with Blundells. I was assured I could move in on Tuesday 18th April. On Monday 17th April, in the afternoon, I was informed that THAT property was also not available because the tenant hadn't moved out. Nightmare.
In addition, I received a text today from SparkEnergy asking for an electricity meter reading for the rental property in Sheffield. Turns out my personal data had been handed to a 3rd party energy company - without my knowledge or permission. This is a potential violation of data protection laws; Blundells should review their data protection policy and procedure.
Overall - AVOID if you don't want to encounter extreme stress and personal info being handed over to a 3rd party without your permission or knowledge.

Avoid this letting agent at all costs to protect your information security & bank details!
My Partner and I rented a property with agent approx 4 months ago, and despite reading the terrible reviews we went ahead as we needed to move. Everything went smoothly, everything apart from their customer service was slightly lacking (no calls back when they said they would & no updates to progress of application).
3 months in to renting the property I received a call from one of their agents saying my landlady had not received any rent for the last 2 months and to set up a standing order to pay her. As far as me and my Partner were concerned we had paid in full since moving in into the account we were specified to.
It turns out they had given me somebody else's details altogether and we had been paying somebody that neither I nor Blundell's knew. They tried to get out of it by suggesting I had entered the details wrong, but thankfully we kept all of the paperwork they had provided us with as proof.
Every phone call was met with the worst customer service I have ever received, and I'm not a particularly hard to please person either (all I wanted was honesty). They never returned phone calls they said they would, and they had the gall to tell my landlady that I had not rung them to discuss despite me having 6 phone conversations with them that day. Almost every call myself and my landlady had with them was met with Oh, we were just about to ring you. Now, this starts to sound a little bit disingenuous by about the 4th call on the same day.
So far we have only got half of our money back, and they are taking no responsibility for it. I can only assume that they think that if they bury their heads in the sand and hope it goes away, it will.
Unfortunately not as I have reported them to the information commissioners office for a serious breach of data security after seeking legal advice, and the property ombudsman service.
Please seek another estate agent if you value your personal information security staying secure. If they gave us someone else's bank details, imagine what else could be leaked.
For the length of time this company has been in business, I would have expected brilliant customer service, and for them to learn from mistakes. It does not take this length of time to rectify bad customer service for the size of the company.
Absolute amateurs.

They left me with damp, broken white goods, damage that had been done prior to me moving in which i was initially told would be repaired by them was failed to be . I was told by the repair teams Sarah and that other stuck up woman there, that they'd ''prefer to speak to my upper class partner in the future as he speaks a lot better than myself'''. Honestly cannot stress enough how incompetent they all are! keep far, far away!

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
