Mann Lettings in Canterbury is probably one of the worst letting agencies I have had to deal with and I feel sorry for the many students who end up there but worse for the families who go there in good faith and end up being treated really poorly.
The agent didn't turn up on the day we moved in, we had to go and get the keys at their office. The property was advertised as unfurnished and yet when we went in there were sofas, table and chair and we had to leave ours outside as they failed to hand us the keys to the shed. The property we rented was dirty when we moved in, I had to clean it thoroughly for 2 days and the grass was really high and hadn't been cut. The oven was not working and caused the whole system to short every time we switched it on and their best solution was a microwave oven! Now it is nearly 2 weeks since we moved out and they are not handing us the deposit back finding all sorts of excuses to delay the process even though we left the property in a better state of cleanliness than when we first moved in.

What agent could do to change your mind?
Been polite. Not broken the law. Been honest and not tried to sell us deals that weren't in our best interests. Gotten important paper work accurate first time (took them 3attempts and lost us 2 weeks on the deal)

What agent could do to change your mind?
Better service, train your staff properly and get rid of any team member who is obviously incompetent. Stop charging stupidly high admin fees when I had found out by other agents (from where I come from) that the costs are a fraction of the price.

It is impossible to get insurance before you move in! Most letting vultures simply whisk you around the property in about 5 seconds flat before you've had the chance to consider what you would need to put down on an insurance application for it to be valid. ...
