Where to start. I never write a review, however after 6 months on a JLL managed premium property - I'm shocked. Initial contacts with the lettings negotiator was satisfying. Once the offer has ben given it was a complete nightmare. Contractual part took ages. Informations haven't been given. Communication = 0.
Moved in: No heating. No hot water. No help at all over the weekend nor the first 2 days. Reason, the property is under warranty and the emergency ppl. have been told NOT to help or answer questions at all.
After we also had to handle a list of uncountable issues with the apartment itself and no-one felt really responsible to manage them we given notice and the nightmare continued. Short notice viewing. 4-5 viewings a week. All ok as we are reasonable. However, allowing a for me unknown 3rd party agent to gain access to the property without my knowledge 2 times including the fact that I've been in the flat once and those people just opened the apartment door is just horrible.
But the best at the end. We moved in the middle of the month to draw a line even if we had to pay the rest of the month. So we get asked if we maybe could vacate 2 days after our departure so that a new tenant could move in. Agreeing in principle and asking for basics like contract amendments etc left unanswered. 5 times chasing for that - nothing. What they did than? They just gained access (without knowledge and authorisation) for a tenancy end clean (which I haven't arranged) and having a inventory clark lined up. Legal compliance? Taking care about tenants - the customers? Being open and spot on? Even after speaking to the Lettings Director no word of an honest sorry or an attempt to sort anything out.
Deposit return within 10 days? No. Legal compliance? No.
Answers on questions re deposit and overpaid rental? Wishi washi.
Client commitment? Maybe to Landlords.
As still nothing is sorted we consider legal proceedings. As that is just shocking.

Did you dispute the deposit deductions with your deposit scheme? How did it turn out? I am going through the same troubles with them now trying to get my deposit back. They are trying to deduct thousands for fraudulent and nonexistent claims.

What can I say about JLL?
Very unprofessional beyond my worst expectations. It started from the very beginning but I wasn't paying much attention; from a flat that didn't have the full furnishings for the first few weeks to receiving an email saying I didn't pay my first monthly payment (seems they have deficiencies in their process of monitoring the payments received). Some facilities in the building were closed for maintenance for extended periods during my tenancy and as you can imagine, no compensation was received for that.
Things had been quiet after that as I had been paying the monthly rental payments before the due date and no communication with them, thanks god!
Then came the end of tenancy procedures. By that time and as a person acting in good faith, I hadn't been paying lot of attention to the deficiencies listed above, naïve me!. The end of tenancy was a hell of a pain. They made every possible attempt to make my experience very annoying. The inventory report (checking that all items were present and in good condition) was very poor. The report itself contained items that had already been replaced by them; the report mentioned such items as missing and I had to dig through my emails to send the landlord such evidence (i.e. doing their job for them). The report also worked on exaggerating anything found to prove that the flat was unclean; for example, saying that placements and coasters were unclean. How are these expected to be after years of usage? These are disposables! Accordingly they hired a cleaner and charged me a hefty price while the findings of the report were either unsubstantiated or immaterial. Think of it, stocktaking companies and cleaning companies need to get some work!
Raising the issues with JLL they were either passive or supporting the landlord's views. Not responding to my emails (or responding to the questions that suit them and ignoring other questions), They didn't manage the communication with the landlord who was keen to deduct hefty amounts for a bulb that needed to be changed or a piece of cutlery that was lost (although I left lot of additional cutlery, crockery and even electric equipment as I wasn't able to take with me. They only had one response; agree with the landlord! In short, they only care about the landlords!
Finally, my view is: avoid at all costs; find another agent.

I recently had an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience with JLL as my property manager. After moving out of a property managed by them, I was shocked at how they did everything possible to withhold as much of my deposit as they could, with little regard for fairness or accuracy.
Throughout my tenancy, I made every rent payment on time and fulfilled all my duties to the best of my ability. I even left the apartment in a cleaner state than it was when I first moved in. Despite this, JLL still found ways to penalize me unjustly.
First, they tried to charge me for professional cleaning, even though the property wasn't properly cleaned when I moved in. They insisted on this charge despite the evidence I provided, completely ignoring my concerns in what felt like an attempt to extract more money from me.
They also claimed there were damages to the property that were either pre-existing or not caused by me. For example, they charged for purple stains that were only visible after the landlord replaced a sofa that was there when I moved in. I explained this clearly, but JLL still held me responsible.
To make matters worse, they refused to acknowledge that I had permission to dispose of broken items like a chair and bookcase, and instead charged me for these as well. It felt like they were determined to find any reason, no matter how flimsy, to keep my deposit.
Despite my efforts to be a responsible tenant, JLL's treatment of me was completely unfair. Dealing with them was a nightmare, and I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone. If you're considering renting a property managed by JLL, I strongly recommend that you stay as far away as possible. Their practices are unfair, and their customer service is dismissive at best. Save yourself the stress and find a more trustworthy and reputable company to deal with.

???AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! ???
2 months after the end of our tenancy and they still hold our deposit. All final bills provided & rent fully paid. Property manager (Paige Waller) has so far attempted to add a deduction for some damages that were clearly documented in the check-in report, consistently avoided calls and emails, & attempted to deduct a debt on a utility bill even after being informed numerous times by the utility provider that the debt was for a period prior to our tenancy. TDS dispute has been raised and Paige Waller fails to respond to TDS.
Failed promises, severe lack of communication, and no deposit returned. You will definitely suffer when it comes to getting your deposit returned.

I can assure JLL is a good property agency, Adam Garson (My agent) is absolutely wonderful to work with. It’s like having a friend on the “inside” that is working for you. He really care about his/hers clients as well as the community and neighbourhood they live in. He was thorough and professional and great to work with. He kept us apprised about available appointments and always let us know as soon as a new property came on the market. He was honest and forthright- no games. After dealing with several other brokers in the Canary wharf and Central London areas and being disappointed, we felt lucky to find Adam. Adam Garson is very supportive, quick to reply with correct information, tries his best to get things moving with good pace, feels like made a new friend, Thanks Adam Garson! Will definitely recommend if you guys are looking property/new home via JLL please ask for Adam Garson to be your agent. Thanks!

On top of that charged as for REMOVING old bed and sofa from the property. Literally just trying to steal your whole deposit for whatever they want without providing proof not even trying to discuss with you any deduction instead straight up forcing you to either sue them for unlawful deposit deductions or rise dispute with TDS.

I previously rented from a JLL managed property, and the staff were very unhelpful in the move out process. It was impossible to get a response, and the lack of communication made it extremely stressful and challenging when moving out. After I moved out, and JLL finally managed to inspect the property, I was told there will be a deduction on my deposit for certain ridiculous items such as £150 for ageing of the sofa (no damage but ageing!!)

The JLL managed property we rent in has now gone for a full year without having its windows cleaned once.
It's one of the more visually obvious signs of neglect in property maintenance we've come to expect from JLL, complementing the forgotten breached bicycle storage doors and garage gates, broken intercoms, and bad security practises with the common parcel room.
Sadly the only thing we can trust JLL to handle without fail is the annual rent increase. Investors should show concern on JLL handling their properties.

Overall very good letting experience with JLL especially through dealings with one of their senior agents (Neil Short). He is very competent and prompt in his responses via e-mail with us which is something very important to us as we live overseas. They are also very fast in tenant acquisition each time an existing tenant moves out. That helps us keep our yield on the property in tact.
