I rented my first property from Brookdale Property Management in 2004. Since then I moved around five times as I wanted to up-size from time to time.
The service level every time was excellent. Right from the application processes to the ongoing management provided by Brookdale. The very few maintenance issues I had to report during my time renting from them were dealt with at, literally, lightning speed.
Every time I called about maintenance issues/problems my enquiry was dealt with by knowledgeable staff who always had time to listen and NEVER fobbed me off. I get the impression they are not youngsters but "time served". If they had to refer the issue to the Landlord to get permission for repairs/maintenance, they always kept me up to date.
I suspect they have a far superior computer system than other letting agents I have rented from in the past as they communicate regularly regarding outstanding issues and every time I phoned, whoever I spoke to could easily access the file notes. I was never told "Fred is not in/out at the moment so phone back". They seemed to always share collective responsibility for any issue relating to Customer Service.
I have recently moved from the UK so had to ask Brookdale to remove me from the tenancy that I shared with my flat-mate. It was done in less than 24 hours and all explained to me.

Comment on agent fees
Brookdale are up-front about their fees and they are actually very reasonable. You may be able to find cheaper but you will not get the level of Customer service - I am sure
