My property was placed with Chancellors to act in the sale, circa June 2011. I sacked them at the end of Feb 2012, and during this time, I had 2 viewings from them. Once I had served notice, magically, all the viewings came pouring in from 'cash buyers' ...

See feedback above. We are not being unreasonable, but Chancellors are not meeting their end of the legal requirement. I am concerned that we may have to resort to legal routes and this is obviously not the way we hoped to begin a new tenancy!

I would just like to note that I am annoyed! but its wasnt intended at the lettings agency at a whole! I was given the wrong info and so were the agents at chancellors by the landlord. Chancellors wernt the ones who were looking after the place it was the landlord himself, chnacllors only get the tennants and get the contract signed... the rest was dealt with the landlord. As you can see above my comment I was really angry at the outcome of the landlord asking from the deposit after all that ...

We totally sympathise with you. We have a list of grievances too long to print.Almost the same thing happened to us- strung along for months, the property kept online whilst sale agreed and cheekily Richard was calling other people using our house as bait to try to get them to sell their house with chancellors!!! Unbelievably unprofessional and devious. The sale fell through when our vendors pulled out. If this joker was a doctor he would have been struck off years ago- manipulative, greedy ...
