Would not recommend for landlords at all.
The initial contact with Chancellors was via Kayleigh who was great.
Shortly after signing our agreement however, we started getting passed around the houses, making it impossible to keep track of email chains or speak to anyone with decent knowledge of our account.
The accounts team is extremely poor. Despite making formal complaints the communication remains terrible. They take money from our tenant's rent without explaining why, or how the amount is broken down. If you fight hard enough they will eventually pay you back but it takes real determination. Amounts are often withdrawn "in error" for services they haven't actually provided.
The first tenant they placed with us absolutely wrecked the place (inc. leaving dog faeces in carpeted rooms), and had 'his mate' staying for the majority of the contract instead of him. We had to be extremely well organised as despite paying for a fully managed service they didn't do the end of tenancy check on the date they said they would. Thank goodness we had done our own detailed report with photographs.
The Property Management Team send in expensive contractors with essentially no warning. Thankfully we are quick enough to specify we do not provide permission for works to go ahead until we've had a chance to review the relevant documents. In every instance, contractors have quoted for works that don't actually need doing, often bumping them above the £1k amount which (according to Chancellors) triggers an extra fee for Chancellors.
We will be leaving them as soon as we are able to.
