We recently sold our home through Stanfords in Hither Green, and by chance also purchased through them, but the Catford branch. Both teams were the opposite of what I expected from estate agents based on previous experience. They moved quickly, they were proactive, and they addressed concerns as efficiently, professionally and reassuringly as possible. We had a difficult process on both sides (no fault of Stanfords!), but David and Jack in Catford and Michaela in Hither Green were constantly in touch with each other, with various solicitors and with us, to help keep things moving along - we really couldn't have asked them to do any more, and we felt really well supported throughout, even though we weren't technically the clients of the Catford team!

I had previously purchased my flat from Stanford’s in Hither Green and had no hesitation in contacting them when I then decided to sell the property. Jack had been very helpful when buying and remember me when I needed a market appraisal.
He was very knowledgable on the current market trends and understood me as a vendor.
David handled the sale for me and was absolutely brilliant. He communicated at every stage of the sale and used his initiative to chase the legal teams of both buyer and my own, ensuring everything was moving as quickly as possible.
I can not recommend them highly enough and thank the team for all their hard work, friendly approach and excellent local knowledge of the housing market in S E London.

We have recently sold our one bedroom flat with Stanford Estates in Hither Green and I must say that I don't think we could have received better service. From the outset Alex, Michaela and the rest of the team were professional, personable and supportive.
Alex arrived at our flat for a free valuation, armed with examples of sale prices for similar flats in the area to give us a sense what the local property market was doing. He provided a well thought out, realistic valuation for us but also took the time to explain the process and answered all our questions. We didn't feel under any pressure at all to use Stanford Estates but Alex's confident straightforward assurance and his reasonable valuation backed up by Stanford Estates' excellent reviews and record in the area convinced us.
We are so pleased we did. As soon as we nominated Stanford Estates we were introduced to Michaela who helped us through every step of the way right to the end; she made sure all the staff facilitating the viewings knew our property inside out and had excellent area knowledge. Michaela also went to great effort to ensure we were not put to any inconvenience by the timing of viewings and always contacted us with plenty of time in advance to let us know. Stanford Estates quickly found us a buyer who loved our property and went on to negotiate the price we wanted for it.
The process of buying and selling is hugely significant and stressful and like any process ours had it's own complications but at every stage Stanford Estates were supportive and encouraging. They kept in constant contact with our buyer and us in order to ensure everything was moving forward smoothly. They even liaised with the estate agent we were buying our next property from so that we didn't have to, thereby taking the stress off us.
I would wholeheartedly recommend the excellent service we received from Stanford Estates in Hither Green to anyone and if we were selling again tomorrow we would definitely be calling on Stanford Estates.

The valuation was spot on, honest and not pitched at a number to get us on their books. Even though we wanted to list our flat for more, which they were happy to do, we ended up selling for just what they said.
They found us the right buyer and then the real value of their service came with the management of the post sale admin. All the handling of the surveys, queries, chasing up etc, the interaction with our buyer was really professional.
Selling and buying is stressful and the way Stanford's managed it on our behalf gave us a few less things to worry about. They were always ready to share their wealth of experience and keep us informed on progress all the way through the process.
A great team to deal with.

Having worked with another branch on the purchase and sale of our previous flat, we knew that our property search was in good hands with Stanford Estates. Jack was our main contact, but Michaela was always on hand should Jack not be around. We viewed 4 properties, one of which was our dream place. Great local knowledge, excellent process management and communication makes these guys the best around. They also work very well across branches- this resulted in us buying in Hither Green even though we were initially searching in Forest Hill. Honestly couldn't recommend highly enough. Lovely people.

<p>Under the Rules and Regulations of The Property Ombudsman, which Robert Stanford Estates Ltd are guided by, we advise you of the following actions that we will take should you wish to make a complaint on any matter regarding a transaction with Robert Stanford Estates Ltd.</p>
<p>1. A complaint should be made in writing to Mr Ben Nicol, Company Director and can be posted to the company address at 2a Dartmouth Road, London, SE23 3XU.</p>
<p>2. Your complaint will be recorded at the time that it is made, and will be acknowledged within 3 working days.</p>
<p>3. Robert Stanford Estates will deal with any representative that the complainant chooses to instruct on their behalf.</p>
<p>4. After your complaint has been acknowledged, Robert Stanford Estates Ltd will conduct a full investigation into the matter. A formal written outcome will be posted out to you within 15 days of the acknowledgement of your complaint.</p>
