Buying a house from them. To start with we wanted to put an offer in on a Saturday, they told us we had to book and appointment and come to the office to do this! What a waste of time! Our solicitors have now been chasing the sellers solicitor for 5 weeks for a sellers contract (our solicitors were told they were using sharman quinney solicitor). 4 weeks later, our solicitors are finally told that sharman quinney informed them wrong and they are not using sharman quinney solicitors. How do you get this wrong!?
They've wasted so much of our time already and the sale hasn't even gone through yet.

Awful. Not equal fees for house value. They look to take advantage of people who have not done this before and rip them off.

Signed up with agent on recommendation of friend using the Peterborough office. His house was sold at same price as ours, except Stamford wanted to charge us double in fees. We even had to do more viewings than what Sharman did. When we asked to discuss the reason for charging us extra, the owner said he doesn't discuss fees and washed over it. When I paid for the Photos after the house didn't sell, they waited 4 weeks to send them through to me. This after not informing us of the 24 week sole agency contract we signed (first time selling, so took advantage of our naivety) . Awful Service and will never put them forward to sell any properties for anyone i know. They also over valued the property to get the job. Which they are well known for.

Terrible service from start to finish, sales and lettings!
Over valued my property to get my business then told me to reduce it by �10,000 2 weeks later. Absolutely no offers or second viewings in 16 months on a decent house in a good area.
Lettings were ok to start with then lied to me about information they had passed on to tenants, left maintenance jobs unresolved causing over �1000 damage to my property.
