Shawlands mortgage advisor who was extremely rude in saying my partner and I couldn't afford a flat and stated we wouldn't be able to compete with “60% of the population working in public service including lawyers, drs and Tech people” despite my partner and I both being University graduates in full time employment . The mortgage advisor told us “to cancel all our flat viewings” however once we informed her we had a viewing with Rettie Shawlands to view a fixed price property the following day to “ignore everything (she) had just said” and told us “to put an offer in if (we) loved it”. Extremely disappointed with the rude service and change in attitude when there was a glimpse of a sale with them and it has really discouraged us from ever buying a property with Rettie.

Recently saw a flat advertised by this estate agent for a fixed price. After saying I'd take it, they stalled for time claiming that the seller had to "talk it over with his wife". This was actually to allow another viewing to go ahead, resulting in another interested party.... Read Full Review

Recently saw a flat advertised by this estate agent for a fixed price. After saying I'd take it, they stalled for time claiming that the seller had to "talk it over with his wife". This was actually to allow another viewing to go ahead, resulting in another interested party.
Instead of accepting my offer, they retroactively changed from a fixed price to a closing date. Absolutely despicable way of doing business. Unimpressed and best avoided.
