I was sceptical when Jason at Palmers and Partners said he could get me my asking price and more importantly interest, but he marketed the property on Friday and by Friday night I had four possible buyers to view on Saturday, by Monday morning had had two offers and by the end of business Monday I had accepted an offer, which was in the area that Jason advised that I could get. I have no qualms about giving them a good review.

We chose Palmer Partners because of their helpfulness and professionalism and they were able to achieve a sale within just a couple of days. However, this turned out to be a particularly complex and problematic sale because of the difficulty in proving legal title. We had to involve solicitors in retrospectively obtaining Probate in order to prove both equitable and legal title, a process which took 5 months in total. During this period Claire Chapman managed the situation perfectly by acting as a conduit between ourselves, the purchasers, and both sets of solicitors. At one point the purchasers issued an ultimatum that they would withdraw from the sale because of the delay. It was at that point that Claire phoned the purchasers and explained to them exactly what was happening, why it was taking so long and reassuring them that the waiting was almost over. In doing so she definitely retrieved a lost sale. So, in conclusion, I have to say that Claire Chapman did a quite exceptional job throughout the entire process from beginning to end. Well done Claire.

My Partner and I viewed several properties with this company receiving a cold and hard approach not even showing us around the property. once my partner and I decided that we wanted the property, we put down a holding fee and reference fee, thinking we had the property and was given a rough moving in date and all the details would follow. But little did we know apparently someone else put a holding fee down "at the same time" which would then leave it up to the landlord to decide who got the property. If you ask me both holding fees at the exact same time? not possible surely!! we then got a phone call telling us the landlord decided to go with the other party and not us. We entered the office to find a white board upstairs with my name next to the property saying moving in date of 31st of march 2014, yet apparently the other party "expressed more interest first" to then receive my refund
If anyone reads this review please DONT USE THIS COMPANY
NOT FRIENDLY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE VERY FORCEFUL RUDE

What agent could do to change your mind?
Jackie, was poor. Not particularly interested in selling (was the offer already agreed prior to our viewing?) and she arrived in an old motorhome with a dog. Not a great impression of an agent. Greatly disappointed that the owners werent asked to hold out for us to return home, having asked Jackie to do so, and told her of our practical issue of having to return North immediately. Indeed, I cant think of any reason why an owner wouldnt just wait 12 hours knowing another offer was coming, unless this had been agreed prior to our viewing. Very poor and expensive experience on our behalf.

Arrived home (after a 12 hour day to do a 30 minute viewing), and confirmed Land registry details, public access issues etc. Rang first thing next morning to make firm offer on property to be told the owner had received and accepted an offer the previous day. Clearly this may not be totally the agents error, as it may be the owner who decided that despite our 500 mile round trip we werent genuine purchasers, but for the agent not to have asked the owners on our behalf, to hold out for 12 hours whilst we drove home, knowing an offer was coming and therefore accepting offers on the table, was very very poor. Was our offer as good as the offer they accepted? Who knows. Cash, no chain, and prepared to give asking price, from a couple prepared to do an 500 mile day trip for one property? I think we proved we were genuine. Good luck to the potential buyers, and I hope for the sellers sake, this one doesnt fall through too. But for us, we wont be doing that road trip again for this agent. An expensive and unneccesary experience.
