Unfortunately I was promised that they would rent out my house under a guaranteed rent scheme however even after contracts were signed they tried to change this to a managed rental contract (again, more excuses) this cost me money which I did not need to pay out. I refused and put my property up for sale with them initially, however with no real interest from potential buyers coming via Northwood I decided to go to another estate agents who sold my property in a matter of weeks.

My initial contact was with Tash. She guided me through the process of letting my property with Northwood in a very straightforward and honest way. I knew exactly what they were offering me and how it would work financially - there were no hidden surprises!
I live a long way from my property to let and therefore it could be difficult for me to fix any problems that may arise with my property. A phone call to Tash or Andy is always met with a "No problem!" response and they have always resolved any problems promptly and efficiently.
They have contacts with various tradesmen who can deal with virtually any situation and the prices charged are always less than I expected.
Tash and Andy form a very helpful. constructive and friendly team and I have no hesitation in recommending Northwood at Telford as a letting agents - they are everything I would like and need them to be

Their communication in keeping us advised was spot on and the advice we were given was pragmatic and accurate.
Once a prospective tenant had been located the tenant checking was thorough and detailed, giving us a clear understanding of the tenant's credibility.
The tail end paperwork was handled with accuracy and efficiency.

I called 3 local agents out with a view to renting my two empty flats out. Of the three that came out Andy from Northwood stood out as very professional and his knowledge of the rental industry was evident. It was a no brainer as to which company to use. My dilemma was which scheme to sign up to. I was extremely impressed with the Guaranteed Rent scheme but opted for a simple let only on the end. I needn't of worried as they found me a couple of great tenants quickly. I have other property and will be calling on them again as and when they become empty.

We have a number of properties that we rent out locally and our most recently purchased property was through Northwoods in wellington. We have dealt with a number of estate agents and letting agents over the last few years and can honestly say this agent was an absolute pleasure to deal with. They keep in touch constantly throughout the process - communication is brilliant and everything is done efficiently and in a timely manner. Andy & Tash come across as very trustworthy & have a very calm manner about them - nothing is too much trouble. We were so pleased with how smoothly the purchase of our latest house went that we decided to use Northwoods as our letting agent also. So glad we did - they pulled out all the stops to get us the right tennants and we shall definitely be using them again. We are on a Guaranteed Rent and are happy with the amount we are guaranteed, therefore, any money Northwood procure for rent over and above our guarantee is not our business and from our situation, is money well spent.

As we are currently living and working abroad, renting our UK property seemed the sensible thing to do, even if a little terrifying as this was new to us and we had heard/read a lot of horror stories about doing this.
Along with other Letting Agents we requested a visit from Northwood to advise on the possibility of renting our property. Northwood responded in a timely manner and it was Andy who came to see us. Andy put us at ease from the off and professionally directed us through all the stages and criteria requiring our action (most of which was new to us) and explained Northwoods objectives, reassuring us all along. He was also able to offer us a Guaranteed Rent which is ideal for our situation.
Before Letting we wanted various actions carried out on the property and Andy was extremely helpful providing direction and advice in all areas of concern.
As we were living overseas the majority of 'Post Visit' correspondents was via email or Northwood phoning us, guiding us every step of the way. Natasha soon became a familiar name to us and not only processed our constant ignorant questions, but actioned them, replying and reassuring us on every matter to date.
As a preferable, we had our own criteria for possible Tenant/s for the property and although not obligated, Northwood were able to source appropriate Tenants for the area. This is very much appreciated by us and neighbours alike.
All in all Andy and Natasha have proved to be extremely patient, diligent and above all, pro-active, in all matters, continually going out of their way to assist. An extremely professional and likeable duo!

I am using the Guaranteed Rent scheme. Whilst the return is lower than it might be using a traditional letting agent, I am guaranteed to receive rent each month even if there is a void period. It has provided peace of mind and confidence as a reluctant landlord.

Whilst they can't wave a magic wand on the situation, they have been brilliant in the way they have dealt with things and, as a Landlord, have met all of my expectations in terms of the levels of professionalism, communication and organisation - all the crucial factors. I would even go further: they have exceeded my expectations in many areas.
Moving from a local agent to one that operates nationally has really been an eye openeer. Having a national network means that they've got the professionalism and organisation (e.g. use of a national legal department) that really gives them an advantage. But they've still got a local focus and have been much better at communicating with us than the smaller, local agent we had been using. I must say, Tash, in particular has been excellent with us.
Reading this back, I realise I sound a walking advert for them, but I have been genuinely pleased with the service and it has been streets ahead of our previous letting agent. Would recommend.
