Appalling treatment initially as a prospective buyer from start to finish leaving my wife in tears after requesting highly personal information to establish whether we were 'suitable buyers' and not even having the decency to let us know the outcome or even a 'thank you'.
Now their senior manager WW, as we have been told, has heavily influenced the vendor of another unrelated property we were purchasing until yesterday, to re-market, this after we had full price offer accepted progressed to surveys/searches etc. and associated cost.
The lack of ethics this business shows and its treatment of prospective purchasers is disgusting. Please do yourself a huge favour and avoid at all costs.

Terrible customer service! From the start, the staff at Mullocks Wells have been uncourteous and rude (emails to prove). Upon checkout, they are trying to charge £140 for a checkout clean to a 1 bedroom flat. The average hourly rate for a cleaner is £10. We have left the flat in a clean state, so I do not see how it needs a 14 hour clean... or are they just scamming us!

DO NOT RENT WITH THESE, i rented the place had a major flood bringing the bathroom ceiling down, electric lights hanging down a fatality would have occurred if the shower was used ( no bath fitted) idiot woman at dunmow said it was safe to use. i have a certificate from an electrician condemning it as uninhabitable, a gas engineer and architect all saying the same. also an asbestos problem with a certificate to prove, still they said it was safe to live in and would not find alternative accommodation as they are obliged legally to do, i had to pay to stay elsewhere.to pay another £1200 to stay elsewhere on top of £1150 rent is wrong. not long after moving in the boiler broke, took 6 weeks to replace no hot water for 6 weeks, freezer broke 8 months before i moved out, never replaced it. now they have with held my deposit because of the water leak. posted a review before but they removed it. a bungalow in bishops stortford that needs upgrading

On Mullucks Integrity: Joan Bull, the manager, hid information from the landlord. She made it clear to me that she manages the rentals.
On Mullucks Efficiency: There were times when we had a stream of contractors at in our flat. Contractors often came for the most trivial of reasons. I assumed that The landlord picked up the cost of those "repairs" and Mullucks picked up a commission.
On Mullucks Openness: My landlord liked to be hands on but ! had the impression that contractors had been informed by Mullucks not to speak to landlords directly. I had the impression that this was the reason that the contractor who came to quote about removing the decking did not call the landlord when I asked him to. The Mullucks office staff do not have the skills or knowledge to communicate maintenance issues. The extra level of indirection leads to botched jobs, and therefore, extra expenses. I had the impression that one motivation for the large number of contractor visits could be the commission Mullucks receive for each visit. Those visits are disruptive to the tenants and very expensive to the landlord. When I asked if a motivation for all the contractor visits was the commission that Mullucks earn, Joan Bull informed me they "will be taking advice on your comments made against mullucks" (I took this as a threat in an email from them 18th May 2017)
On Mullucks Flexibility: When Mullucks want your business, they are flexible. When you are signed (trapped) they become rigid and inflexible.
Would I recommend Mullucks Wells? Of course not. I would not trust the current staff to manage my property. Indeed I am one of the "long term tenants" that the nameless "Director of Residential Lettings at Mullucks Wells" refers to in someone elses complaint below. The director seems to equate being a "long term tenant" with embracing Mullucks Wells involvement in the Letting process. It does not. Other factors can force us to stay. (I also note the "Director" has not provided us with the evidence that they say they can produce to refute the points that the other reviewer made)
A quick google search will give a list of good alternatives to Mullucks.

Absolutely the biggest shower of rubbish you will ever come across. They do nothing but lie. They talke a large deposit and have no intention of giving this all back no matter how well you look after the property. For the thirteen months I was there I can say with hand on Heart I treated that place as if was my own. There was nothing damaged it was kept clean to the highest standard. Sally lambert has decided that I shall only get half of 1500 deposit back and because they have the law behind them I have to except it. These people are the scum of the earth. Please please stay away from them !!! Could just add that my van was keyed and apparently this has happened many times to tenants who live in this cul de sac. Don't move there !!!

Mullucks Wells...... Translation....... Multi xxx ups.
Been renting for a few years and this company do not deserve to be allowed to trade. Moved into what I thought would be a fantastic converted country house.
Day 1 moving in night.... Electric sparks from plug in unused converted space in alcove/ fireplace
Day 2 Realise yes actually heating isn't working correctly. Not even hooked up despite radiator in bathroom. Living room like a freezer. Contact MW.... "We will send someone out asap" .
Following morning... Snow arrives.... Waited until 4pm, no confirmation from MW when handy man will call out. Phoned again and again. 10 days later with 6 inches of snow still outside electrician comes, confirms rads not in proper working order.Hallway one broken, bathroom one not even hooked up and sitting room rad well ... Too old and worn needs replacing he says. It will never heat up he says.
I Go off then for Xmas.... Come back told be another 2 weeks before rads fixed. At this point Im annoyed.
But I come home to find.... Flood, 2 inches deep in alcove in corridor to front door of flat. Smell of damp is disgusting. So I telephone MW told to keep eye on it. 24 hours later no call to send out handyman to sort it. Called MW again said would sort it. Rang again and again. 10 days later a rep comes out from MW. Attitude of well you are only renting this property. Am furious by now.
One week later.... Shower in bathroom breaks,,,, cant stop water/ to turn it off, luckily neighbour comes to rescue
2 weeks later fridge breaks.... 3 days waiting on MW to send out plumber / handyman for bathroom and to fix fridge
Meantime ask about radiator in sitting room as room unusable its so cold and middle of winter at this point. Still heavy snow outside. So spend most evenings after making dinner living in bedroom.
2 weeks later cooker goes. Another 10 days before electrician is sent out....... By now its the beg of March, 4 months into 6 month rental of the property.
Spring arrives, unwanted visitors and insects keep appearing on living room floor. MW reply not a problem, don't fret!!
That was it.... Called local council. Full electrical check ordered. Cooker was indeed faulty. No egg takes 15 minutes to fry!!
They are told to put cover on live electric socket right over kitchen sink which was also a hazard from day 1.
Moved out 4 weeks later as tenancy finally ended.
Attitude from director of MW the flat is in perfect habitable state everything always worked from day 1 he replies in letter to my solicitor.
The whole time MW tells me they informed landlord. Reading comments on sales by MW they don't know meaning of the communication.
Its no wonder too I see the flat, nick named, "Faulty Towers" on Well known rental websites every 4-6 months. Dodgy flat, landlord and most definitely dodgy agents as other tenants in same building who went through them also had problems with electrics, plumbing which took almost 3 weeks to send out handyman for.
So in summary Mullucks Wells need to rename themselves as "Multi cockups".
They need serious investigation by the lettings association of the UK.

The agent failed to conduct proper negotiations with the buyer and to communicate effectively both internally and with the buyer and seller. This lead to confusion after lawyers were appointed about what the buyer was precisely buying. The Agent then covered up and disguise their mistakes in order to ensure that the sale went through, irrespective of the loss caused to the seller. They later concealed evidence of their mistakes, which were only found out following legal discussions. The agent also has a very poor understanding of the higher end of the market.
