Have been a tenant in a Martin & Co 'managed' (and I use the term very loosely) property, for 6 years.... at first, they were brilliant and couldn't have been more helpful. Then came a change of management and I have to say they are bloody hopeless! Renewal documents sent out with the wrong names on (and when we informed them, they told us it was our fault, even though they had got our names right for the previous 3 years?!) , a complete lack of action on any maintenance issues (even stuff that they have been shown during their 'property inspections' and said they would get sorted right away.... 4 months later we're still waiting for any action, despite us emailing and phoning them regularly). An upstairs neighbour (also a Martin & Co tenant), who thinks it's OK to run around slamming doors repeatedly, and on numerous occasions ( generally at 2-3 am and therefore waking both of us and our 4 year old daughter). However according to the numpties at Martin & Co this is completely acceptable and if we want to complain, then we need to go to the local council! I'm so glad they include the section on noise nuisance in their contract, it's obviously not worth the paper it's written on! Anybody reading this who might be considering renting through them.... don't. Seriously, don't. Find another property or buy yourself a tent, but don't bother with this bloody shower, you'll be disappointed if you do. Interested only in your rent money, with absolutely no concept of customer service or any kind of professional approach whatsoever! A complete joke really.

Poor service... They advertise a property that they don't have access to it. Been postponed 4 times always on a short notice... And a week later they told me that they have an offer from someone else before I get the chance to see it. I wouldn't recommend. Please try and find some professional... Read Full Review

I had to chase constantly, either by phone or email and felt that I was leading the whole process, which for a first-time landlady is not what I wanted. After the initial meet, I went into the office to hand over keys and was given such a hard sell to try to get me to upgrade to full management option which was appalling. I got the distinct impression that they did not know what they were doing regarding paperwork. I could have done the majority of the work without them. The only good comment I can make is the tenants seem very good.
