Please avoid this real estate agency. Once you have rented a property from them and signed the contract, they will not respond to any of your requests, especially when you are suffering from neighbour harassment and noise issues. My property is managed by this person called Huseyin Turkay, and after finding another review from Purple Bricks in Solihull, it describes the same person that I have dealt with, rude and utterly despicable. My experience with them is that they do a fantastic job of making their customers unhappy, the price value of them requesting a repair on my property, for example, they charge extremely high for such a cheap job, and no communication whatsoever between the tenant, myself and the agent, it is only that I have to keep chasing them through calls and emails to get a proper response and not to mention that they do not explain the processes carefully, so they leave you at a cliffhanger for you to discover it yourself and hoping to charge you extra if you do not find out. The tenant himself is very unhappy with the service and quality.

I don't know what fantasy they are living in.
Again, I urge you, reviewers, to think twice about using this company.

I was a tenant. This is a really poor estate agents!! Be aware they will try to deduct ridiculous charge from your deposit and WILL NOT let you know before hand and try to blame you for things that you'd not done. I was a tenant. This is a really poor estate agents!! Be aware they will try to deduct ridiculous charge from your deposit and WILL NOT let you know before hand and try to blame you for things that you'd not done. I am shocked to even read any positive reviews. I get the feeling this is not the first time they try to rip tenants off.

I really liked the property but it didn’t have a water meter so I called Martin & co if they can find out from landlord if I can install one. No one came back to me for two days. I called again and said I’m very interested two days later and was told someone will definitely call me same day. I had to call again just to speak to a very rude agent who said they didn’t know I’m interested, the price is fixed and then he hung up the phone. I’m very glad I didn’t decide to rent trough them. Horrible

I would rather not use them at all but they seem to have something of a monopoly over rented property in Edgabaston.

After having let this property out last September the Agency have been nothing short of inexperienced and lacking real knowledge in the world of lettings. They have been unable to grasp the legalities of taking a tenant to court when rent has not forthcoming, they have not kept on top of the dire situation I found myself in when letting this recently purchased property to them and have conveniently taken the damage deposit for doing absolutely nothing. If you want an estate agent who does not thoroughly manage, is selective in sending emails and call backs and generally wants to do very little for a lot of money, they are your ideal agents. Appalling service!

We have had awful customer service and response to our maintenance requests since moving into our property as tenants. Major maintenance issues such as our boiler or the switch for the electric shower not working properly have taken at least three days for Martin&co to simply reply to our requests. We put in a request three months ago for our kitchen tap to be looked at as it is constantly dripping and no one has fixed it despite follow up emails and calls regarding the matter. It seems as if the landlord is "too busy" to address any matters that would require sending someone to fix things and Martin&co did not represent and take care of our interests and needs as the tenants.

When I responded to the e-mail requesting further information and to mention that I could not attend a morning viewing as I am working, the response I got was that I had made a inquiry and they booked for me the next available viewing, again without providing further information. On my second e-mail, the agent did not even answer back! I received another viewing confirmation e-mail with a new viewing time.

The agent's refusal to acknowledge that they cannot force their agenda on their customer, their total disregard towards my questions and refusal to provide information shows a lazy unprofessional company front. Although I cannot judge the entire company from one employee, I will seize to consider the company as a professional letting agency and use their services. I think they need to provide better training and evaluation of their employees as they are creating a bad public image.
I do not recommend the Harborne branch to any serious person looking for accommodation and wishing to be treated professionally.
