We sold our house and needed somewhere to rent for six months. We viewed the property and from the moment we paid the deposit we had issues. Shannon from their Swanley office failed to have the property ready to move into on time and cost us an additional £700 pounds moving-in costs. It was still being decorated by their own handyman when we moved in. The house was filthy, the gas oven leaked gas and when the heating failed to work we were made to wait a few days to get it fixed. We moved out over three weeks ago and we still have not got the bond back. The moving in report was poorly done. The moving out report attempted to find us responsible for damage already in the property - we filmed the entire property when we moved in and when we moved out as we knew there would be issues. I am stunned anyone would trust them with their property and from the rest of the reviews it s evident the problem is endemic within Mann Countrywide. If you are considering renting through them - owner or tenant - read all the reviews. Good luck.

The team at the Swanley branch were friendly and helpful to deal with in regards to viewings and getting the tenancy arranged. Unfortunately it was all downhill from there. Nobody turned up at the arranged time to do the check in and inventory, I had to go to the agent to find out what was happening before anyone realised there wasnt anybody booked in to do the check in. Almost 1 week later and still no inventory check is done. The smoke alarms weren't working when we were let in,although they did go out immediately to buy replacements. There are no carbon dioxide detectors anywhere in the house even after us pointing this out several times. Previous tenants had pets,I was told that the carpets did not need cleaning (Altho in our contract we need to have it professionally cleaned before we vacate the property,so different rules apply to different tenants it seems) Luckily I had arranged to have a professional carpet cleaning company meet me at the property before we moved our stuff in as the stench of dog urine hit you as soon as you entered the property,there were several obvious stains on the carpets in most of the rooms, I couldn't stay in any room more than a few minutes before wanting to gag. After the carpets were cleaned (paid for by myself) I then spent another £75 on products to neutralise and mask the odour that still hung about. Also spent hours cleaning before I could unpack anything. All this after the maintenance department said nothing needed to be done at the property.Still waiting to hear if they will take any responsibility for the state the property was left in. Very disappointing experience so far.

Me and my partner where very happy with the overall process of the completion of our rental of 7 new cottages bean. Both Chloe and Amy where very efficient with the handling of the whole process. Shocking approach to "managing" a let property - I still have nightmares about this horrible man. He lied on the application form and said that I hadn't paid rent for an entire year when he should have explained one month was late due to no response with leaky roof!
