I was not allowed to VIEW the property until I would declare every little detail & proof of my affordability/budget. What buyer with half a brain who wants to negotiate on a purchase price divulges such information to an estate agent? It's none of their business!
Apparently this is to stop the spread of Covid. Haha, what?? No other estate agents have demanded these details from me and have happily let me view properties within the past few weeks. I say again, LOVETT are utter CLOWNS!

If I could rate them lower than 1 star, I would. Utterly disgraceful, and thoroughly unprofessional, company that had absolutely no intention of doing their jobs - which caused my mother to lose out on a place she had set her heart on. Even the landlord who Lovett were representing got fed up and walked away.
Three months were we left waiting with no contact from Lovett that wasn't forced by us, constantly having to chase them up at every opportunity. The agent in charge of our case had us jumping through more hoops than a circus animal, yet didn't even have the common courtesy to keep us informed as to the progress of the application. She neglected to keep the landlord informed of the application as well, yet even told my mother that everything was fine now and that she should hand her notice in at her current landlord.
We have since learned that the agent in charge is no longer working for the company, and I cannot help but hope she was fired for incompetence. Sadly it seems that's a trait that governs the business overall, as well as an overwhelming bad attitude, as trying to chase this up was met with aloof and condescending replies from the lettings manager who then emailed back to say no properties were available for housing benefit --- despite my mother, repeatedly, stating that she works and pays rent in cash.
Disgraceful company that wasted several months of our lives and have left my mother completely in the lurch, having to quickly scramble to find somewhere to live after being told by the letting agent to hand in her tenancy notice.

Hi,
I had very bad experience with Lovett agent. I liked a property and I paid holding deposit. Then they have got a negative report from Rent4Sure referencing agency. Estate Agent failed to convenience the landlord even though I provided sufficient documents to them. This offer has been declined from their registered Landlord. From my side I accepted the offer and ready to move in to the property. ( I have not changed my mind or not cancelled the property to let).
Finally, I got a call from estate agent saying that, Landlord rejected the offer so we can not provide you the specified house rent for you. As the rejection came from their registered Landlord side, I requested the refund of my Holding deposit. Agent immediately started arguing with me saying they can not refund fees stating that, I falsely provided information, which was not. I genuinely provided information and I have all the proofs which showing same.
I am reporting this to Property Ombudsman for further help in this matter.

Put in the asking price and was told it would be taken off the market, then phoned me back to say I would have to go over the asking price to secure the property.
Just had enough in the end and decided to withdraw my offer.
Everyone please be warned that these people are complete liars and Timewaster's.

Firstly, this is my first negative review ever. I just edited a positive one that I wrote below due to the strongly disappointing circumstances.
Don't go near this Lovett if you have anywhere else to go, the people I've met stole our money and lied.
When me and my partner moved in on agreed date, the flat wasn't prepared for us - it wasn't cleaned and was just dirty (pictures saved to show for people of interest). We already had van full of staff parked in front and moved out of our previous flat the same day, so we had no choice but to move in.
The Lovett agent proposed that we should then clean this apartment by ourselves and the agency will pay us for it. It was weekend and cleaner couldn't be organised, so we agreed to it. We've worked through the weekend to clean fridge/floors/kitchen/cupboards/toilet etc. The Lovett agent responsible for cleaning was sent by agency to check if it is up to the standard and apparently it was, because no decision to send a professional was made to clean it for us some more.
But the money payment was postponed until the day we moved out. We made an extra effort and worked through the weekend to make the place shine (pictures to show to compare to the state when we moved in to show for reference) Then the Lovett agent came again and said now it isn't up to the standard and they cannot give any money to us for the first cleaning to pay for this one.
So they lied to make us clean the apartment for free. Maybe they just think they can use us because we're foreign. Anyhow, keep away. Strongly disappointing and not a trustworthy agency.

I have never in my life dealt with such a bad company.
They take your holding deposit (�495 in my case) and then you can forget about things being done. They do inhouse referencing that you have to chase and chase and chase, they don't keep you updated on the progress causing you lots of stress (they wanted to delay the move in date and forgot to also let us know... ) and when you think you have everything sorted, they fail to send you the contract 4 weeks after you moved in. Also, forget about getting any documents signed for your utilities (Virgin Media in this case, which sent the documents to them 3 weeks ago and they haven't received them back).

I emailed after seeing a property on Right Move, within one hour, I had a call back and a viewing arranged for the next day, although the flat was not for me, I was so relieved for all the helpful advice given throughout the whole process of booking the viewing and especially Charlotte on the viewing. So many other agents just show you around, you feel rushed, in and out as soon as possible, even when I told Charlotte the property wasn't for me she still tried to suggest other properties and didn't give the your not interested in this property, iv got to go, brush off thoroughly recommend.!!! Fantastic service from start to finish.

What agent could do to change your mind?
She could have at least returned my calls just once and offered to return my deposit. Charlotte told me my holding deposit would be returned should the landlord not be happy without references as I was honest about my references and offered to pay the rent in full.

The holding fee was in my humble opinion very high, certainly if you consider all Charlotte had to do was make one phone call to the landlord explaining my situation that I had no references but was prepared to pay up front.

Hi
I booked a viewing to look at a flat and was told I would get all my answers from the agent who would show me the property. I explained that I had just returned to the UK and had no references but I could pay the deposit and 6 to 12 months up front. The agent said this would not be a problem and she would be able to get an answer from the landlord within no time, just a phone and it will be a yes or no. So I paid the holding deposit of 252 pounds and booked the flat, this was Saturday morning. I called on Monday, Tues and Wed to find out if I had an answer yet, Charlotte was not very polite and told me i had to wait for my references to be approved of which i explained i had none (Again). She claimed i said i had which it quickly turn into an argument and I was told i just have to wait. I would not recommend using Lovett International or dealing with Charlotte as they tell porkies to get your holding deposit. They have also still been advertising the property which I was told would be taken off the website as I have paid a holding deposit. This they did not do either. Not once have they called me I have left message after message and have to keep calling back to speak to Charlotte which was meant to be helping me, she's done nothing. Very rude with a bad attitude!

Now they're trying to blame the damage on the new property on ME, to take money off my deposit.
There is only one way to describe the staff - incompetent. There were misspellings on the contracts.
I have sought legal advice, notified the local Environmental Health Department and the OFT, and written as many awful reviews as possible. This company should NOT be in business.
