Avoid buying a linden home I really wish I could put pictures on here so you could see the mess of what I have been left with since November 2021, I had to send a message on Instagram for help for someone to actually get back to me but I’m still no further on with all my problems. After todays email telling me that me crack in the wall that goes from ceiling to floor are not deemed as excessive and is homeowners maintenance even though your finger goes through the crack to me this is more than excessive and trading standards need to investigate this company’s shoddy workmanship and lack of correcting problems if you have recently purchased a linden home I would reconsider your purchase

Don't do it. I am disgusted at the customer service and finish quality. My colleague bought his first home at Harrington Park, Exeter. There is a hole in the roof, fibre hanging off the property, a dent in the door and paint on the handle. Someone called Lauren at Linden is not taking him seriously with the biggest purchase he will ever make in his life. Disgusted. Linden just want his money, not his happiness. A job badly done
And you cut down all the mature trees on the edge of the quarry site♻️

Prepare for a nightmare, poor work, lack of communication, being left frustrated, angered and little support. From aggressive sales, clear lying ahead of purchase to what was delivered, including lack of support from customer care. Constant changing of options after selection and confirmation, then pressure th change many months later. Communal areas left in dangerous state, exposed wires, Sharpe rubble & aggregate across whole estate, walls falling down, sewers & drains not fit for purpose as Thames Water will not take over ownership 4 years on, photo evidence of concrete, tarmac, rubble poored down various points in drains, plus many more.
Drive took 4 years to be laid. Multiple contractors walk off site over non payments.
Inside the build, so many corners cut, from uneven floor- 2 inch in some places, incorrect screws in every door handle allow them to fall off with screws exposed, not great for a small child! Poor work all round as contractors on pricing work so rush everything, all ceilings require re doing, skimming, reviewing then painting. Skirting all round messy, cracks and holes exposed then painted over. Waste water re enters one toilet, creating all sorts of hazards, due to poor plumbing. Electric points and sockets incorrectly fitted leaving wires exposed.

Linden homes customer service department is not responsive or professional and really hasn't been helpful we we've had to go ahead and fix quite a lot of the build issues on our own.

Linden homes appointed First Port as the maintenance company for the sitt and we are yet to see any real value for the monthly maintenance fee that we are paying First Port. For us, Linden homes and First Port truly feel like big rip-offs. Most of the communal areas on the site hasn't been maintained properly with the lawns dying out and overgrown with weeds, drainage issues, building rubble still on site and a safety issue in many areas, entrance to the estate yet to be finished after all these years. I'd strongly advise buyers to look at Linden homes and First Port reviews and talk to home owners before having anything to do with new build homes from Linden homes and properties maintained by First Port.
Beware of rip-off Linden homes and First Port maintenance.

Do not buy from Linden homes, they build poor quality homes with terrible maintenance.

Don’t buy from Linden!!!
We bought a Linden Homes house at the Heathlands site in Frimley three years ago. The process of purchasing was horrendous - we felt like a part on a conveyor belt - we were treated as customers.
When we moved in the house had numerous snags. Some were time sensitive and after much nagging were done. Unfortunately the advice of the site manager (to wait till the last 6 months of the 2 year warranty period) was terrible. Having done exactly that numerous repairs needed re-doing but we’re now outside of the 2 year period and Lindens refused to make good.
Then there is the site and it’s upkeep. Atrocious. Unsafe and a real unwillingness to do ANYTHING. They refuse to acknowledge glaring errors in the build of the site. The drainage system has rubble in them (left by the builders) and the road was left unfinished for three years at least. Countless car, including my own suffered punctures and worse. I never want to go near a lindens home again.

The communal areas which we pay a service charge for are nothing short of dangerous. Collapsing walls, collapsing car port roofs, protruding wires from the ground, fallen trees, collapsing 9ft tall pillars at entrance to the estate, no street lighting, no road markings, dead plants everywhere. I have pictures of all of it. I’ve reported it and NOTHING HAS HAPPENED. BE CAREFUL!!

Shame this is business as usual for them and they felt that no compensation was deserved. All of our neigbours we have spoken to have had similar issues. Steer clear of this firm.

I wouldn't buy another Linden Home if you paid me to. Worst builders I've ever come across. Have just moved out of my home for the 4th time in 4 yrs (for 12 months this time) to have work done to it due to the appalling build quality and problems with the house from dodgy electrics and plumbing to floating floors and mouldy floorboards. The list is endless. Linden have refused to put it right or even communicate with us so Nhbc are finally doing it. So many people I know have had issues with Linden. All I would say is good luck if you buy one of their properties. You'll need it!!
