Fees are in the range for those who own more than one property. For those who only own one, as we did, it was a permanent niggle in having to pay a monthly supplement until it was possible to raise the rent over time to the minimum the agency required.

They have been understanding, cooperative and professional in all our dealings, and especially so in unpleasantnesses inevitable over money, in arranging and overseeing work on the fabric and furnishings, and in ensuring that the resident mix is acceptable. I have found Harringtons an excellent agency especially now staffing has stabilised.
They have been very responsive to my requests and I must commend:-
Lee for managing the finances,
Jessica and Ellie for managing the viewing and renting of the property and
Ann for ensuring maintenance jobs were done in a timely and fair cost manner.
While I have had fewer dealings with Kat- her return has coincided with a really slick management of my property.
Really pleased with all especially as my property was rented out for 2018-19 within a week!!

Well where do I begin!!
First of all lack of communication on the agency's behalf they did not notify us of which office to attend to sign the contract. Although in the email sent by the agent it stated the Durham office address below the agents name which was dealing with our rental worked at the Durham office.When arriving at the Durham office to then find out the agent did not work at this office she worked at the one in spennymoor. The letting board still being displayed outside the property although we have lived here for four months. Notifying the agents and landlord of toilet leak and shower leak from day one of moving into the property and it only recently got fixed after living in the property for four months. When reporting a problem the agents do not reply for weeks on end like there is no sense of urgency. Moving into the Property and finding it had not been cleaned. Never receiving an inventory to the property until the fourth month of living here. Reporting serval problems such as damp which has damaged my property and the estate agent and landlord not addressing damage to my property of goods. To the estate agent then saying to us that we should purchase a dehumidifier and pay for the electricity to run it even though we do not own the property. For saying that we are difficult tenants because we won't live with mould in our house to the point that wallpaper is coming away from the walls, there is mould growing on brand new curtains, clothes smell of mould, mould growing on shoes and doors throughout the whole house and mould growing in the wardrobe. They are disrespectful and inconsiderate agents. I would advise anyone to never use them.

They told me that the branch was closed on Saturdays but they would leave the key at Dunelm Store next door for me to collect. They asked me to send a reminder email on the Friday before which I did. I contacted the agent by telephone to arrange to pick up my key on a Saturday. They told me that the branch was closed on Saturdays but they would leave the key at Dunelm Store next door for me to collect. They asked me to send a reminder email on the Friday before which I did. I tried phoning the emergency number on the Harringtons voicemail 5 times during the day to get somebody to sort it out, and emailed them twice as an alternative method suggested on the mail. By 6 o'clock in the evening I had heard nothing from them, and am now unable to access the property with my luggage.

actually honoured their part of the contract for a furnished room with wifi - a normal bog standard cheap student let

do not know as Harringtons took deposit and months rent up front and refuse to do anything like put furniture in the room as has been paid for in the contract saying it is the Landlords decision - and the more I spoke to Margaret the less time she had, she kept saying reasonable time stressing that she wouldn\'t be able to contact the Landlord - they only part managed - they didn\'t part manage the taking of the deposit and rent. Also the room has had 3 differing prices it has been advertised for 75 70 50 they have a glib answer for everything

1. No furniture

Harringtons after 4 days have failed to make good their side of contract by saying the Landlord is out of the Country - who happens to be RSB Lettings - Mr Norman Barron
If you stand up for yourself Margaret from Harrington's accuses you of being threatening - asking them strongly to uphold their side of a contract is apparently threatening - but still no light no furniture, no desk,
