Updated, the worse property management;
As a landlord, it's crucial to be cautious when dealing with property management companies. These companies often charge substantial fees but may fail to deliver the services they promise. In my experience, I spent over 18 months dealing with a property management firm that consistently underperformed. I spent nearly a year raising complaints about their unskilled managers who neglected essential tasks such as following up with tenants, conducting property visits, and proactively maintaining the property. Instead of addressing issues before they escalated, they only acted after problems arose.
To make matters worse, when I decided to terminate the agreement due to their poor service, I was charged a penalty equivalent to six weeks' rent. This experience highlights the importance of thoroughly vetting property management companies before signing any agreements, as many may take your money without providing the level of service you deserve.

Kim is quick to react to feedback, any issues, or queries. She and the team actively kept me informed of progress about my potential purchase. When I decided not to proceed, she and Chris worked tirelessly to do everything to resolve the issues surrounding my decision...even as far as influencing the removal of a solicitor acting for the vendor who was detrimental to the sale progressing. Despite the fact I elected not to proceed with the purchase, I have never experienced the efforts that the team put in. They are clearly passionate about what they do, and do their utmost to support each other. They treat their clients as individuals. I would have no hestition in recommending Haart/Ashford to anyone.

When progress was not being made, our requested appointments to meet with the manager were denied. It got to the point that we had to go into the office unannounced to speak to the manager. Even then we were kept waiting for 45 minutes.

Needless to say my purchase fell through mainly due to mis-understandings and deadlines not being met by the agent.

What agent could do to change your mind?
The agent could have actually answered my phone calls and my messages and actually relayed CORRECT information.

Haart were quick enough to jump in and get the business when I was looking to sell my property, and yes, my property sold very quickly. However. after that, their service levels went down dramatically. I had to chase and chase Haart countless times to find out the progress of my sale. I even rang one day to find out that the person I had been dealing with had left!!!! Had to leave countless phone messages and send countless emails and all were ignored. They also gave out incorrect information to my sellers solicitors. I would advise anyone NOT to use Haart. Try and use a local, independent estate agency as they actually care for their customers. Haart do not. They are in it for as much money as they can get. Avoid at all costs.
