Offer to buy a property already accepted but finding a better interest rate this days is nearly impossible. Victor Ravi (Dover Branch) offered to help me despite the very short notice and he found a rate slightly better than what I previously had. From then on, he worked tirelessly (I'm sure behind the scenes as well) to get my mortgage application submitted the following day. As a first time buyer, I needed information even if I did not ask for it to make me understand the mortgage parlance, and Victor did just that. He's so reassuring and always made me aware of why he did this and that. He just did not complete my application process but I feel that he was ready to work collaboratively with his client with an ingredient of a human touch. He was very efficient and in no time my mortgage application was submitted. Hopefully, I will get the bank's thumps up ??. Thank you very much for taking me on board, Victor despite your busy schedule and the relatively short notice. Will highly recommend YOU so others can have a pleasant experience as well in their times of mortgage needs.

My first complaint went in within 10 days of signing up with them. A very good persuasive sales person. It was partly resolved by allowing me to go multi agency. It was quickly sold through Wards of Dover over 2 weeks ago. Geerings were informed and asked if they could take their board away. Today their board is still in my garden. Today I find out that Geerings have re-advertised my property without my permission, causing a slight panic with my buyers. A second complaint has gone in today. A couple of years ago they were regarded as a very good estate agent in Dover but you must always put the effort in to stay at the top. Not rely on yesteryear.

Although we did not end up selling or purchasing a property through Geering and Colyer, My fiance and I had the pleasure of working with Chris Englefield, a brilliant mortgage advisor who went the extra mile throughout the process of purchasing our new property and will certainly be trusting him to advise us with our future mortgage decisions. Chris is dependable and accountable, which goes so far in terms of providing excellent customer service. Chris not only found us a fantastic deal, but also ensured that we were well informed throughout the whole process, from AIP to completion and doing so, he made potentially stressful situations much more manageable thanks to good communication. He was a great person to have on our real estate team.

Where to begin!!!
The Manager on various occasions said he would take a new picture of the front of my house with the new bespoke fence,i had lots of excuses i.e. the picture is at head office, the picture never came out,and finally I am not good with pictures.I then went in to the Dover office on a Friday Evening and started to talk to a young lady about my property and she said the manager was in the back room where suddenly he came out and leaned against the wall twisting an elastic band between his fingers,I asked him about the picture of the front of my house again and he repeated again that he had been to my property twice and could not take a good picture,he the said to me that the price of my property was to high and started to compare it with completely two different properties, and then he said to me you look intelligent you may have to drop the price,as he said this he was still leaning against the wall flicking his elastic band,I then said have you advertised my house in the paper, his response was OH THATS A GOOD IDEA,I will do that in the next paper that comes out we only advertise every two weeks,I then said i could not see my property in the window why was it not there, the manager said it should be and I said where.Still playing with his rubber band the manager ambled across the shop floor touched one of the properties displayed in the turned it slightly turned around looked at me and said he was to busy to have a look for me and he would get a member of staff to have a look sometime.
Service from Geering & Collier They are Complacent Insulting Do Not Do there Job when looking after customers which should be exampled by the Manager for which at the Dover Branch this defiantly not happening. Also for the above you have to pay them £3,900.00 for the privilege of selling with them!!!!!!

Be honest from the start. We didn\'t want a short term let. Lots of unnecessary stress and upset caused by them not being honest.

We viewed this property in understanding it was a long term let. Carol and Stephen both assured us this was a Long term let. So we under went all the credit checks etc. I had to chase daily to make sure these were going through ok. We had to pay lots of money for these to be done. We even paid for the invatory to be carried out by them but it wasn't it was done by the actual landlord who said they had no money from geerings to do this. We moved in during December only to be told last week that this house has been on the landlords portfolio to market to sell in April. Geeing and colyer lied to is as it is not a long term let, they knew this property was going to be sold and that the landlord only wanted tenants in throughout the winter months. I have emailed both Stephen and carol to receive no reply. I think they are very unprofessional and the truth would of been nice.

Being honest, professional and competent would have avoided all of the above.

They lied about their fees, initially quoting in the region of £350 but later billing us for over £600. Only after taking an ironically named 'good faith' deposit was a written schedule of payment provided with a breakdown of fees. Contract documentation they provided contained numerical errors and typos and had to be sent back twice because of their apparent mathematical illiteracy. They failed to send proper authority to reference when doing checks and didn't confirm our move in date until the day before! The £75 move-in fee turned out to be for Stephen to follow us to the property and open the front door...that's it. The inventory detailing damage to the property was incomplete and required over 40 corrections. The property wasn't supplied with a recycling bin or a second set of keys but they kindly included the leaking shower and faulty central heating free of charge.
