Since March I was negotiating as a prospect with 3 agencies in London concerning a one year contract for a furnished apartment .Finally I could arrange an apointment and I was treated in an unfriendly way and saw 2 rotten flats. I was desparetedand walked on and found another agency – unfriendly no customer orientation. But I did not give up and walked on. Then I was lucky and found Foxtons and met Cliodhna- a good looking fresh young lady.

I was desparetedand walked on and found another agency – unfriendly no customer orientation. But I did not give up and walked on. Then I was lucky and found Foxtons and met Cliodhna- a good looking fresh young lady.
She gave me a warm welcome, a friendly smile, put the right questions, was helpful (even with my bad English) and showed us 5 flats immediately.She used her car to get me there which I appreciated because of the warm weather. She helped me to use the right criterias to evaluate and finally make a decision. With her energy and passion for her job she made all the paper work correctly and even called me when I arrived back home.The after sales work was coordinated by her in a professional way ( the British burocracy is not my thing).
Thanks again to Cliodhna- she made my day !

Looking for a property to rent in London can be very stressful and frustrating. Thankfully, we found great help in Adrian from the Foxtons Clerkenwell Office, who completely understood our requirements and provided an exceptional service. Other than the average estate agent in London, he really cared about helping us secure a suitable property within just a couple of days, while always being very responsive to any questions. My problem is only that there are too many really nice properties on the market in my area, and the price I want is unachievable. Foxtons are spotless in their work.

She also subsequently made multiple mistakes in our tenancy agreement, and as we were overseas at the time, had to wast almost £100 calling them! Until this date, the tenancy agreement does not hold the right information and it's been about 2 months since it has been brought to light! They also make you cut your own keys if you have flatmates, but are not prompt or concerned about returning your money.

Until this date, the tenancy agreement does not hold the right information and it's been about 2 months since it has been brought to light! They also make you cut your own keys if you have flatmates, but are not prompt or concerned about returning your money.
Property management is another useless piece of their puzzle. Management of a property counts for nothing as they need to go back to the landlord for every detail. How is this managing on the behalf of?! Broken dishwasher causing a flat to smell take more than 3 weeks to sort out because they dont bother to chase things up for you. I have had to send multiple emails to their property manager to get anything sorted.
Basically, it is the properties that seal the deal, but with such abhorrent service. I would be very tempted to never use Foxton's again. Also, note that they charge one of the highest admin fees for processing the deal. After signing the contract, you will definitely feel like you dont matter anymore.

I had a property on the market with Foxtons in Clerkenwell. They seemed very eager to market my property which at first I was very impressed with.
There Valuation was £75,000 more than the other 2 agents that I had called in to see me. I was of course tempted in by this.
I had a number of viewings on my flat but no offers; I started to think to myself what could be wrong. It seemed like they were bringing people around that didn't really want to see my property and it was just to make me feel like they were working really hard on selling my flat.
3 months (they tied me in for a 12 weeks contract) gone by and still no offers the only offers that i was getting was from them to reduce the price which happened religiously every 4 weeks. They ended up getting me slightly less than the other agents had quoted in the beginning, however i was a lot worse off because there fee was a lot higher than the other agents.
I would avoid at all costs and DO NOT get sucked in to their overpricing tactics to get your business at a high commission rate, this is what happened to me and it was all lies.

Lettings Agent Adrian Jarockyj was the consummate professional. I was the worst kind of client - didn't know where I wanted to rent, didn't know how long I'd need the flat, didn't have a real idea of budget but most of all, didn't really understand how the 'short let, furnished' system worked. The other agents I approached all told me to come back when I'd figured it out. In contrast, Adrian patiently provided an overview of how the system worked, carefully talked me through my own situation and then diligently researched the market for my specific needs. The Foxtons stereotype is of an extremely aggressive agent. Adrian kept me updated but was also happy to put things on hold at various times as my own situation changed, asking me when I'd like him to check back with me or if I'd prefer to let things drop for a period. He was unfailingly courteous, responsive and positive throughout what for me was quite an ordeal; I couldn't recommend him more highly.

Very professional and straightforward with us, from initial enquiry through to completion. Very polite and responsive during viewings, and very hard working during what was quite a difficult negotiation. Took a lot of trouble to keep our buyer on board by answering queries and sorting out additional information. We got an offer within 3 months and exchanged contracts 6 weeks after that. Being Foxtons they priced the property high but we got 90% of that and I think it was a good price.

Of the other 4, 2 sent a standardised email response & didn't get back in touch. Foxton's were keen to get a valuation done & the property marketed asap - even before necessary work was complete. Their processes & follow up are excellent, however, they don't always listen to specific requirements or instructions, so these bear repeating & putting in writing. They were very patient when arrangements del through for meetings. Agents were professional throughout. Their advice proved sound & they achieved the asking price on the 2nd viewing with a 12 month contract period and an excellent tenant. I would use Foxton's Clerkenwell again and would recommend to others.
