Absolutely awful company. By far the worst letting agency on the market. The owner must be clueless or downright greedy as they steal people's deposits. So many others say the same thing, and they are literally the reason letting agencies get a bad rep. We left our apartment in immaculate condition, better than when we received it, which we have photo and video evidence of, yet they still deduct money from the deposit, so there is literally no point in cleaning your apartment when you leave as they will still deduct money from your deposit. Louis was also terrible to deal with, taking ages to reply and not helping whatsoever. AVOID.

Horrendous. Worst agency I have ever dealt with. Difficult to get hold of via phone. Complex online system for reporting issues. Non responsive or very poor and negligent response to urgent issues. Long winded and obstructive processes for resolving issues. “Urgent” matters (heating, plumbing, boiler issues) have consistently taken up to 4 months to be addressed. I have now put in an online request for what is classed as a “non urgent” matter (where I have simply requested permission for one of the provided mattresses to be moved into storage in the garage/ loft so that I can use my own, as I have suffered severe back pain due to the provided mattress being old and of poor quality), and I am dreading the wait that it will take before someone from the agency takes 5 minutes to contact the owner to inform them of my request!

The flat was sold quickly and I received excellent advice throughout the whole process.

I used DJAlexander for several years without much issue. Unfortunately, they have implemented a poorly designed IT system and given up on having individuals being responsible for different properties. I used to be able to speak directly with one person for anything that was needed to be done. They would then relay it to the relevant team. As far as I was concerned, that service is what I was paying for.
More recently things changed and got to the point where I found it impossible to work with them. I was having to speak to a dozen different people over several months to get simple jobs (PAT Testing, EICR, GSI etc) completed. I cannot stress enough how bad things have gotten from a landlords point of view. I wasn't receiving messages from my tenants about issues that needed urgent attention until weeks after the issue arose. One tenant lived with a broken washing machine in her living room for nearly 18 months because DJA messed up the collection of it on several occasions.
Basically, they are now pretty hopeless and I advise you steer clear!

Our rental flat flooded which was no fault to our own, they couldn't of helped any less. They allowed us to live in a flat with no floors and damp for 3 months and not only did we have to pay £975 a month for this property, they then tried to bill us for the electric bill of the humidifiers and took our deposit off us. We emailed/phoned for months and we're basically completely ignored. We were 19 and 20 years old and was our first rental property. They honestly should be ashamed of themselves.

I have been using D J Alexanders to rent out my property for years and they are first class. They inform me of any repairs needed immediately and advise me of the best way forward. My flat is never empty for long and they are amazing at finding new tenants.
I have recently asked Alexander’s to sell my flat and Catherine Bruce has sold it for me in less than a week. Catherine is unbelievably professional and keeps me informed at all times. She also sold my husband’s flat in record time with excellent service. I really cannot praise Catherine highly enough.
