We paid more than 600 pounds in signing the contract and paying the deposit, but we have certainly gotten zero value from that. I have had much more value and service from private landlords in London which you pay no such fee for.

We have had to chase and chase as well as wait for a long time for them to help in any way. In addition, when we have pointed this out to them their response to us have been very little re-assuring. They do not seem to care and they do not seem to have good processes between their employees.

Sadly I've ended up renting a flat through a different agent – I would have loved to rent through Currells, if only for the entertainment and customer service, but that wasn't to be. However I would certainly recommend your firm to friends and colleagues should the situation arise.

Garrie Mayers was a glowing exception to this!

I was extremely thorough in searching for a property since I was relocating to London from a period abroad. Garrie Mayers was a glowing exception to this!
Below are the two key reasons why he stood out:
1) He went the extra mile: taking care to show me the area around the property and demonstrating his knowledge without overselling the place. He arranged an additional viewing for my girlfriend at short notice.
2) Reasonable negotiation. As anyone who has worked abroad will have discovered, the due diligence process is often outsourced to systems which cannot process expats. Garrie ensured that our excellent background and financial position was taken into account when conducting the negotiation. He also expedited the moving in process so that the deal was wrapped up within 5 working days.
Excellent service from a solid chap. More estate agents like him would give the industry a better name.

My experience was defined by professionalism, care and helpful guidance. As an expat unfamiliar with the market, I felt that Currell's process was streamlined, comprehensive and fairly priced. The service providers that they partner with are all high caliber.
Finally, with every relationship there is a level of human interaction, and not just transactional. Donato and his team were incredibly competent, and willing to accommodate our unique requirements.
